NCAA 2003...............IT'S IN THE GAME!!!,

NCAA Football 2003 is defenitely in the game! and these following statements show why it is!-Like in other EA Sports games (Madden) the announcer's repetition for saying the same thing over and over again is in this game. But a cool feature is when you create new characters their last name is actually said by the announcers! Of coarse it will not pronounce tough long names like Connaughton. -The names of players are not shown for all the teams and instead show the position abreveation and number like "HB #40". There is an easy way to put the names in for your favorite college team though by going to ROSTERS, doing EDIT and clicking on a players name. All you have to do then is change the players personal traits and Ba Da Bing! your all set. It is much easier if you create a team or you want to edit an already made team by doing this instead of going to the create new player mode (easy access to changing rosters/player info not in MADDEN). -MEMORY was a HUGE hassle for me and this game. To make a team/player and have a season or dynasty you must buy two 251 block memory cards. So including the game which is at a cheap $30 you need to pay $60 more for both memory cards combined (no wonder the game costs so little!). So in total you are paying $90 big ones! My suggestion is you by one memory card with your own money then ask for the game and another memory card for Christmas or something. ANOTHER THING YOU SHOULD KNOW is how to do a Season or Dynasty with a saved team/player. Put in one memory card into slot "A" and create you team/player. Then turn off your cube and put your memory card with your team/player on it into slot "B" and your blank memory card into slot "A". Then turn on your cube and start a season or Dynasty your team/player should be there. The General never lies. NCAA FOOTBALL 2003 is the best sports game out there and if you don't believe me then you obviously did not read my review carefully enough. MADDEN 2003 does not even propose a threat to NCAA's AWESOME GAMING!

Great College Football Game!!!,

This game is fun from the start. You have all the game modes you can want. First as soon as you press power you customize the game to your favorite team, so when you turn it on again that team's mascot will be dancing to your schools fight song. You can just push start and play a game with all 117 1-A teams or 27 1-AA teams with all the bells and whistles. You have over 200 fight songs, chants, drum rhythms, and great commentary. The Rivalry Games are the best. The crowd really gets into the game. When you are done winning the rivalry trophy you can check it out in the trophy room along with the other awards you have won (Heisman, BCS Championship, etc....) There is also a Mascot Game which is kind of cheesy. All players on the field are replaced with your team mascot. Nuff Said. The Dynasty Mode is deep also. You can make your own school or try to coach other teams to the championship. Then in the off season try to sign up and coming players to strengthen your roster. (I couldn't get to deep into this due to lack of memory) Be sure to get a 251 memory card, so you can fully enjoy Great College Football Game!!!

AND EA SPORTS TAKES IT TO THE HOUSE FOR A TOUCHDOWN!,

WHOAH NELLY, WHAT A GAME!! Where to begin, where to begin.... I got this game on launch, and the first mode I played was Rivalry mode, and I was Texas, going up against the Sooners of Oklahoma. The makers of NCAA football have added so much to the pregame, this year instead of just the regular feature on the favored team's star QB and Corso nearly always picking the home team, they now have the players jumping up and down, the crowd booing the road team, highly polygonal male and female cheerleaders, an accurate weather forecast, a more detailed pre-game analysis (Although no more "Corso's keys"), such as talk about the linemen on each team, the running game, the secondary, the kicking game and so on. The graphics are much more fluid and attractive than NCAA 2002 for the PS2, the only time you might experience slowdown is inside your own 10. Other than that, everything runs at a solid 60 frames per second. And, owners of 2002, the fuzziness and between play loading is gone! The lazy eye is pretty much gone, too. The jerseys look great, and the helmets reflect the lighting from the stadium/sun. It's a visually beautiful game. But what separates this game from any other football game is...it's NCAA FOOTBALL, BABY! Nessler, Corso and Herbstreit really deliver this time with their stellar,, spookingly realistic commentary. My first play on offense was a Ace Spread Draw to my halfback, Cedric Benson. He took the handoff and sprinted up the middle for 11 yards. Nessler said, "Wow, would you look at that draw play. That was some big time yardage, Lee Corso!" Then Corso did his usual solid job. But the commentary is very specific this year. Also, the fight songs sound much more like their real life counterparts. Hearing "Hail to the Victors" after a Michigan TD gives me that bone tingling feeling, just like whenever I go to "The Big House" in real life. The gameplay is very tight, this year your corners actually pick off some balls, and your backs don't constantly fumble. Your OL can block, and yet your DL can use that good ol swim move to get by the line. your LB's drop back in coverage, and your safeties can blitz. It's so realistic, it's scary. Oh, and watch out for Lee Corso and ATM machines......

I almost didn't get this game...,

I had almost decided to wait for a good "Pro" football game, but after reading the review of this in Nintendo Power, I decided to take a chance, and man, what a game. I am a dedicated but casual fan of Pro Football (49ers!), but am a HUGE fan of this latest release by EA Sports. The graphics are the best I have ever seen for Gamecube (and I have Resident Evil), and the game play is incredible. It is simple enough for me to start playing right away, but complex enough for me to do exactly what I want to do, which is so rare for all of the football games I have rented for Gamecube. The little touches are what will make you love this game... the fight songs, the band sitting in the stands, the cheerleaders, and the announcers! I was laughing so hard at the announcers, partially because they were being funny, and partially because they were so incredibly realistic. I have only played the game for a couple of hours, so I haven't even entered the "options" screen yet, but believe me, this game can be what ever you want it to. I highly recommend it.

the best sports game out there,
By A Customer
This review is from: NCAA Football 2003 (Video Game)
this game rocks. I bought this game and a a giant memory card (so I can save my season). Well my first season I was Nebraska on the easiest setting and my halfback ran for 12,000 yards and 106 touchdowns (no this is not a typo). The commentary is somewhat funny at times however it is mostly predictable. the graphics are good though not as good as madden. I have done 6 seasons since buying this game and found that the 3rd difficulty setting is the most enjoyable to play because you can actually lose 2 or 3 games even if your miami however on the easiest setting you can win each game 70 to nothing no matter who you play. overall this is one of my favorite games on the cube and is in my opinion a must have game for all football fans.P.S. please vote wether this review was helpful or not

This is the real NCAA,

I've been playing Football games since the Intellivision, and this game, to me, represents the realization of all of the things that I've ever wanted to see in a game (college or pro), all in the same game. For instance, I've never seen an effective clock usage algorhythm in any console sports game until this one. Go ahead, set that clock to fifteen minute quarters; you'll get a realistic number of plays, and acceptable realistic stats. You say you want to see the announcers not just make noise, but you want them to say something helpful and relevant? In this game, Corso and Herbstreet just aren't their own persona, they also chime in with topics that are immediately useful to the players. NCAA Football 2003 is a great, great game on a great, great system. Oh and the ability to make your own school is a great feature, so...LET'S GO UNIVERSITY OF DETROIT FOOTBALL!!!

Awesome Game,

This is an awesome game with incredibly realistic graphics and good A.I. One of the drawbacks to this game is when your thinking "I'm ahead by a lot I'll do an onside kick formation but then kick it normally." You can't, and the defense doesn't have to do an audible to get into onside kick return formation. Also, the variety on the commentary is a little repetative. But, a great feature is in the Create-a-Player option the commentators say the name of your player. You are going to need a couple Memory Card 251's though because Dynasty Mode takes up a whole card, as does Season mode and Create-a-Player. A suprise was that Create-a-School didn't take as much memory as Create-a-Player. This is a great game. It would be perfect if it had more commentary variety, less of a memory hog, and less loading time. I recommend this game to any College Football fan

Good Stuff!,

I decided to buy NCAA 2003 (even though I'd never played any version of it) basically because my roommate got Madden 2003 for PS2 and it was an EA Sports title so I figured it would be a lot like Madden. Well, I haven't touched Madden yet because this game is so great! As you've come to expect EA has made the graphics and play control great. The only problem I've experienced is when there are a lot of players on the screen (like in a goalline situation) they tend to walk slo-mo to the line of scrimmage before the play. But once everyone is lined up the framerate and gameplay are full speed. I have to agree with some of the other reviews that say the Dynasty Mode alone makes this game worth it. I've already gone thru one season (in 2 days mind you) just to get to the recruiting process which takes a lot of work and thought. And since I created a team and made them a cream puff, when I actually landed a decent player it was cause for celebration! Trying to build a team up that averages 6,000 people a game and has no prestige is more of a challenge than Madden will ever be! The sound is very authentic "college football." In fact, when I play in my empty stadium in front of my 6,000 loyal fans, you only get a play-by-play from the PA announcer. No guys in the booth. And you can hear a pin drop in the stadium if things aren't going well. But big games (such as the rivalry) in full stadiums have great crowd sound, complete with fight songs and "Let's go team!" chants. I was surprised that the college football version would be as much fun as it is. But you can customize your playbook, pick from a ton of schools' books, or go with a style like west coast or run and gun. And there's a 4-4 and 5-2 defensive set to utilize. The option can work wonders too, but just like in real life, it can also backfire with fumbles (which the announcers will remind you of every time you don't execute it well). All in all, if you like college football and want something with a different feel than all those NFL versions, I highly recommend this game.

WOW!!!,

I bought this game and wow! The graphics are amazing and the rosters are right on target. The controls are pretty simple and the play calling is easy. It includes all of the NCAA division one football teams and has all of the players on the rosters. It is really fun because you win trophies from playing your rivals. It also features all of the fight songs for each team. There are also modes where you can create a team and a player, play seasons or own a dynasty, and play mascot mode to have a little fun. All in all, this game is the best sports game I have ever played.

This game is loaded with trophies to win and hundreds of college football teams. My brother got it 2 years ago and still plays it! It has a huge replay value. This game is probably the best game ever for gamecube! There is one bad thing though. It takes up over 200 blocks. But Still, I would pay $100 for this game instead of $70 ($50 for game and $20 for memory card)! It is also very educational. A+++
