5.0 out of 5 stars Game is great fun
First of all to John. EA usually uses the previous years Heisman trophy winner or one of the top players on the cover. Since Leinert stayed in school they used Desmond Howard. But if you look at the past game covers you had Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, Joey Harrington. Also do not listen to the guy complaning about the controls and camera cuts. 2.0 out of 5 stars A Lackluster Effort at Best!
Of course we all know the computers players can do things that your players cannot, but damn. The computer throws balls through your defenders, receivers and scat-back will break 6-7 tackles on the way to the endzone and your receivers with 99 speed will be run down by the computers linebacker with speed rated at 84. Corners randomly run away from receivers leaving them...

You have the option to turn off the cameras that do the close-ups you. There are also two settings for the controllers, classic and the default.
So far I have found the game extremely enjoyable and like how it plays. Although, you can tell that EA did not put their best effort into the XBox version since the 360 is now out but it is still fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good game, but very similar to the 2006 version., July 19, 2006

This 2007 version seems to be very similar, in fact, the in game graphics look just like last years game with a few new player movements added in. The 2007 version also has "spring game" added in the dynasty mode and some new minigames. Both games are very good but if you already have ncaa 2006 then I wouldn't recommend buying ncaa 2007.

As of today, in my opinion the best football game out. Madden 07 for x box is close, however I prefer college and the gameplay of ncaa over madden. If you like college football this is a great choice.

The computer throws balls through your defenders, receivers and scat-back will break 6-7 tackles on the way to the endzone and your receivers with 99 speed will be run down by the computers linebacker with speed rated at 84. Corners randomly run away from receivers leaving them wide open for long touchdown passes.......consistently. You can have a receiver double-teamed and they will both just run away from the reciever. Litterally...that is not an exaggeration. No play action or nothing...........just run towards the line of scrimmage. It has to be some kind of glitch in the game. If all that was already said was not bad enough, it freezes up in the second half of the spring game..........consistently. I exchanged a copy for another copy that does the exact same thing. EA dropped the ball on this one!!!!

Well the game was amzing but it had one little flaw. I hate when you play by yourself and you return punts or kickoffs and it goes into close up camera mode. But other than that the game was really fun and the campus legend was awesome how you have to balance your time with social, study, and position work times. Overall the game was spectacular.

3.0 out of 5 stars You know what you're getting, July 27, 2007

Another small iteration over a game you played in 2001. EA is resting on their laurels. Is it a good game? Yes, I suppose so, but compared to other genres, NCAA and Madden are dragging their heels. I suppose it has to do with exclusivity deals that EA struck with the NFL, and since that technology undoubtedly trickles down to the NCAA game, you get mediocrity all around.

A little competition would help.

4.0 out of 5 stars great football game, January 9, 2007

I'd been playing the 2005 version of this game and got to the point to where I could not be beat and rarely scored on. The first time I plyed this game on the regular settings I almost lost and knew I would enjoy the challenge of this game better. The game play is almost exactly the same with a few improvements that make it more of a challenge and funner to play as a result. And I love the cut-scenes whenever a big play is about to happen. I would reccomend this game to anyone who loves the thrill and excitement of college football.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Gameplay, Terrible Penalties!, November 24, 2006
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: NCAA Football 2007 (Video Game)
NCAA 2007 is one of the better EA sports games. The controls are easy enought that my father, who can barely hold the controller right, can play. The only real problem with the game is all the stupid celebration penalties. It seems like every play one of your players celebrates and gets a penalty! Don't bother turning that penalty off because it doesn't matter. Celebration penalites will still be called against your A.I. players. I went an entire game where every score had a celebration penalty.

"A great comeback"
College football 07 is the best football to date (that is until Madden 07 releases). after a horrible experience with madden 06 on the xbox 360 EA sports came back strong with a great game. This game is great all the way through from beginning to end. the graphics, the game play, and the sound. Listen to a hardcore sports gamer: this is a must have!

1.0 out of 5 stars Will Return '07 & Keep Playing '06, August 6, 2006
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: NCAA Football 2007 (Video Game)
The graphics, playbooks, and many other game features seem to be slightly improved (not $50 worth though) but the controls are horrible. They've eliminated the 2005 classic control option. Both new control options have eliminated the ability to switch which player you control in 2 directions - example: you're controlling the middle linebacker & want to switch to the right linebacker at the line of scrimmage. To do that, you've got to scroll through all eleven players to get back to the ROLB, and hope you don't scroll too far or you have to start over. You've also got to hope that your opponent doesn't hike the ball while you're scrolling - funny, the people I play online aren't likely to wait until I'm controlling the guy I want. This may not seem like a big deal, but for me it makes the game almost unplayable online.

Don't they play-test these things?
