NCAA FOOTBALL 2k3,
By
This review is from: NCAA Football 2K3 (Video Game)
Great game. To those who say the difficulties are too hard: Just practice. It's more like real football that way. You must understand the strengths and weaknesses of your team and your opponent. You can't jump into a head coaches position and expect to win easily and you can't do it here either. I own the 2k2 version on Dreamcast so I had an extra year with this game. The 2k3 version on XBOX is very nice. On last years game I had to start on Walk-On, but then quickly moved on to Starter. Now I only play on All-American and wish that there was an even higher difficulty. I am in season 6 in the Legacy and have been on All American the whole time, I have only lost one game and have won 4 out of the 5 national championships, I am of course (look at name) playing as the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Legacy is a strong point, figure out what your team needs for recruiting and after that conduct spring drills and see how your team has improved since last season. I would recommend this game over EA's College Football 2003 game. Sega makes the better product this time.

I hate this game, I will never play it again.,

The game cheats!!! When you keep burning the computer he just starts making your recievers drop balls. That is about the lamest thing I have ever seen. The developers just failed to make a good enough AI to stop your offense to the game just cheats, this is stupid, unrealistic, and completely unnerving. And what is up with his 3rd down percentage? Give me a break, I cannot tell how hard it is to stop the computer on 3rd down, it is almost impossible. I have played a lot of football games in my life and I found NONE to be so unrealistic and infuriating as this one. I really liked the 2k2 version but this game is a piece of junk.

BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME OUT THERE!,
By A Customer

I have had College Football 2K3 for a while on XBOX. It is 100 times better than EA Sports' NCAA Football 2003. The ranking system for 2K3 is awesome. There is only one flaw that I found. I won the NCAA Championship three years in a row and I was not ranked any of the years following those national championships. I would clearly have the best team in the game and I was never ranked? I don't get that. But overall this is an awesome game. The ESPN adds so much realism to the game and just puts the finishing touches on a great game. EA Sports and 989 Sports have a long way to go to catch SEGA!

Great action....lacks a bit of authenticity,

What I like:The action of the game is bar none the best football game I've ever played. It's extremely difficult to even beat a cream puff team at times. You have to execute every play to supreme perfection on both sides of the ball. What I don't like: The commentators keep saying the same [darn] thing over and over. Program some more dialog or just leave it out...it gets real annoying after a while. Fight Songs? I know LSU's wasn't correct. Everything they played in Tiger Stadium was off. It seemed to me like the bands were all playing the same exact songs. I'd suggest doing this right or not at all...it makes you look like a [jerk] otherwise. Bands? Where the hell is the band anyway. I don't see them anywhere in the stands...would make sense to draw them there...don'tcha thing? Student sections? I didn't notice any part of the stadiums being more unruly than others. In fact, it was all the same.... Overall...they need a consultant....like me....to check these little details that can prevent things from seeming phony. If you pay the NCAA for a license...go all out...don't half [rear] it. Put in the actual crowd chants from each school....actual band songs (for first downs, touchdowns, extra points, fourth quarter, pregame, kickoffs, etc.)...and whatever else you can think of to make it look like you're watching TV...not some artificial game....that should be the goal...I think.

Some times you gotta be smart, immature reviewers,

First, let me point this out: those two bad reviews for this game were reps from EA or they couldn't play the game because it was too hard. EA college football 2003 is not as good as 2k3 because it doesn't have the options like 2k3. THe graphics, sound, and espn coverage realize this game to be superior. THe gameplay is basically the same but sega's scheme is better handled. And alas, online play, the greatest thing ever to happen. Legacy mode is tedious but in actuallity, it is for the true simmers, meanwhile season mode is for the hardcore footballers.Once again EA is second best to the glory that is sega, and no, I don't work at sega, I just love their superior products.

I just bought this game a few days ago. This game is pretty good when it comes to graphics and and other things you would look for in a Football game. I olny had a coupple probles with it: #1. The game Menu and it's inards is so Damn confusing and the manual does not explain it that well. #2 which is not really a big problem, It's just the controls take alot of getting use to. If your use to madden like I am. Prepare your self!....over all Im glad I bought it. You should to!

I bought this game and spent 2 hours trying to play it. First of all, the graphics are so cartoonish, I had to just crack up. All of the players look like their 5 foot tall and 300 lbs including the quarterback and recievers!. They all look like their on steroids and they hunch around the field like large gorillas. I was laughing through the entire 2 hours. When the quarterback throws a pass, it looks like he's aiming at a dart board for god sakes, it's just hilarious!. I have played 4 seasons on all of the EA Sports College Football up through 07 and have enjoyed every minute!. The graphics on EA are just so much better, not to say EA is perfect. EA is far from perfect but the graphics are much better. The quarterback and receivers are the right shape and size and the linemen are chunky like they should be. And also on EA, when the recievers, runningback and quarterback run with the ball, the speed is right on. If a lineman picks up a fumble, he lumbers with it cause he's obviousely 250-300 pounds and he's slow and always gets tackled. This puts EA over the top. The quarterback in EA has his full-range of motion of his arm as he's passing the ball. In 2K3, the 5 foot 300 lb gorilla looking quarterback is throwing at a imaginary dart board (hoaky to say the least). Don't waste your hard earned dollars on this game. If you really want to get a good football game get 2k5 football (NFL). This was put out by 2K games not Sega. Every Sega game I have is worthless except for any of their baseball. The baseball games put out by Sega are very very good. So if you have to have College football and want the best, get EA (any EA college football game will do).

The graphics in this game stink, the players just jump straight up or dive straight forward. You can hardly complete any passes in this game either. I rated this a 3 because it's legacy has a little more depth than EAs but other than that its not that great for game play.

AMAZING MUCH BETTER THAN EA GAME,

If you like college football with the graphics of the Xbox then you should definitly get this game. Its cheaper than a normal game, but lacks nothing. The graphics are amazing, the sound is amazing, and the best thing about this game is that it looks just like an ESPN broadcast. Another great thing about this game is that it has much better gameplay than the one by EAsports. Also you can save the seniors, and draft them onto NFL 2k3 another great game by SEGA.
