Gamebreaker is year in and year out the best college football game, and with the changes that 989 made this year, they will reign again. If you like head to head action and playing against freinds, this si the game for you. 2001 will also feature the poular career mode, where you coach a program to glory or defeat!

NCAA Gamebreaker 2001 is a solid game, and it is much improved over last year's title. I found this to be more fun than EA's rehash, and I really like playing it. Casual fans will probably enjoy NFL GAMEDAY 2001 more, but being a college football fan, I really enjoyed what is here.

Good, But EA is Better,

This is a good game if you can't get a hold of EA Sports College Football 2001. The AI of the PSX is great so that you cannot continually beat teams and the career mode is fun where you jump from school to school just like a real coach. The problems are that you actually fumble the ball when you are running by yourself and the recruiting is a joke. Plus tackling is much too hard. They treat every running back like he is Suan Alexander.

This is the best college football game i have ever played. There is only one draw back of this game and that is, sometimes you will fumble when you are running by yourself. All in all its a really good game. I recommend it!

the action is to slow just before a tackle and kicking field goals is kinda hard, but the game is still good to play.includes such players as Drew Brees, Michael Vick, L. Tomlinson, Drew Henson, David Terrell, and the A-Train. but it's only their #'s.

Graphics really suck.,

This game is pretty good. The gameplay is decent and it has a lot of teams to choose from. But the graphics absolutely suck. Their choppy and very unrealistic. If graphics means a lot to u pass this game up and go for NFL2K1 or Madden for the PS2. If u dont have any of those systems i guess ur out of luck for good-looking football game. Hopefully someone will come out with another college football series.

Stick with EA when it comes to sports titles,

I was pretty disappointed by the graphics and controls in the 2000 NCAA Gamebreaker game. Madden Football 1998 has FAR superior graphics and gameplay than this game. The instructions are horribly written too, with terminology and selections on the screen not matching descriptions in the book.Gameplay is relatively fun due to the fact you can play your favorite college team and go to the famous bowls, etc. I wouldn't go back to 989 for sports titles in the future- they do a great job on action games, but this one misses the mark. |
