Alaska Deep Sea Fish Oil is known for being rich in unsaturated fatty acids. It provides maximum and efficient absorption of EPA and DHA. Alaska Fish oil may help prevent menopausal symptoms, promote better circulation, lower cholesterol and etc.
Two (1000 mg each) softgels contain 360 mg EPA(Eicosapentaenoic acid) and 240 mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). EPA is a member of the Omega-3 fatty acid family. It is required for the production of a special group of substances in the body called prostaglandins, which control blood clotting and other arterial functions. Of almost equal importance is DHA, a major component of the human brain tissues and the retinal tissues of the eyes. DHA also serves the other important function of the transmission of nerve impulses in the nervous system.. The average American diet is very low in fresh fish and derivatives of sea food that contain EPA and DHA. Amazon Verified Purchase
The product arrived in 4 days. I order three units, total 900 with shipping 5.95 (same as for one unit). They arrived without damage. One issue raised has been what exactly are you buying. Each capsule is 300mg EPA/DHA. Recommended is 2 for 600 consistent with guidance for websites in the know that also recommend 3 of you have risk factors. Compared to Sam's Club Members Mark ordering three units plus shipping yielded a price per 300 about the same as if you purchased them in a Sam's Club ($9.98/300 November, 2009) but add sales tax. Purchasing one unit makes the shipping costs a major issue and not cost competitive. Sam's Club contains anchovy, mackerel, sardine as compared to salmon for this product. The pharmacists said there was no difference in the Omega-3 fatty acids. Expiration was March 2013, longer I believe than Sam's Club so ordering 900 does not risk spoilage. Capsules are the same size.

I've taken fish oil before but hated it because I always had the taste in my mouth like I'd eaten tuna for breakfast. I don't have that with these and they're a good value.

Based on the information on the product, this seems to be a very good fish oil supplement. I recently switched over from regular use of the Nature Made brand...and simply wanted to give a new brand a try. I must say....the pills are easy to swallow for me. Softgels. BUT...while I never got the fishy burps with NM, I DO get them with this brand! Could it be the....potency? I dunno. That really isnt a deterrent for me. And the price WAS great! Happy with my purchase!

Very good product
This was very good. I even gave it to my dogs to stop their scratching and it works. I just have to keep reminding myself to give it to them. I also take these myself.

Great Product at a Reasonable Price
Everyone in the house, including the the three German Shepherd Dogs take these fish oils. The dogs love them. They take them like treats and chew them until the capsules pop. Read more

Ingredients not understandable

Deep water salmon oil
These oil softgels worked. I sleep like a bear, eat with more appetite after taking those for 24 hours. A keeper!
