Amazon.com Product Description

The NEC AccuSync 75F is an ideal monitor for the busy home office orsmall business. Designed for demanding performance, it works well for a widerange of uses, such as checking e-mail, word processing, working onspreadsheets, and entering data.

The 75F's 17-inch display (16-inch viewable), antistatic coating, semidarktint, and nonglare silica coating all contribute to keeping the pictureclear. The result is intensified color, and reflection problems arepractically nonexistent. To ensure sharp and intense images, the AccuSync75F offers a fine 0.25-millimeter dot pitch. Maximum noninterlacedresolution is 1,280 x 1,024.

The 75F's other features include onscreen controls, an Invar shadow mask,120 Hz maximum refresh rate for lower resolutions, and captive 15-pin miniD-sub connector. It is compatible with both PC and Macintosh. It measures20.7 by 22.3 by 20.6 inches and weighs 43.7 pounds. The 7F5 complies withEPA Energy Star and MPR-II regulations and is backed by a three-year limitedwarranty for parts and labor. --Linda Anderson

This review is from: NEC AccuSync 75F Flat Screen 17" CRT Monitor (PC/Mac) (Electronics)
I've had this monitor for a while now and I am nothing short of pleased by the performance of this monitor. The NEC AccuSync 75F is a 17" flat screen monitor. My very old Packard Bell had finally died (go figure), so anything would be an upgrade and I did not want to spend any money.

So I finally decided to go out and spend a few hundred on an NEC, which I had not heard a lot about except it was the manufacturer of my CD-ROM. It has a .24 dot pitch, which is standard in this time. This monitor is also very easy on the eyes.. it comes with a lot of built-in features that make sitting behind the monitor for an extended amount of time a joy instead of a headache.

It has suitable resolution support (up to 1280x1024 @ 66 Hz). The monitor also has a very user-friendly setup which is a breeze to control and it comes with a full 3-year warranty.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good screen but whistles, May 8, 2006
This review is from: NEC AccuSync 75F Flat Screen 17" CRT Monitor (PC/Mac) (Electronics)
I'm pleased with the quality of the image but almost everyday my monitor emits a high pitched whine that drives me crazy.

I have to hit the side of the monitor hard to make it stop.

we have 2 of these in our house, they both do it

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: NEC AccuSync 75F Flat Screen 17" CRT Monitor (PC/Mac) (Electronics)
UPON RECEIVING THIS PRODUCT, I WAS THRILLED AT THE AWESOME DISPLAY FOR SUCH A REASONABLE PRICE. A NICE, BRIGHT, LARGE, READABLE SCREEN. I THOUGHT, WOW, I FOOLED THOSE MONSTERS AT HP THIS TIME!

ALAS, DON'T BE FOOLED (AND FORGIVE ME FOR THE CLICHE') BUT... YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET! I BOUGHT THE MONITOR AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER, RECEIVED IT IN EARLY OCTOBER, AND IT STARTED GIVING ME GRIEF AT THE END OF DECEMBER WITH MOMENTARY FLICKERS. THE FLICKERS TURNED INTO THE SCREEN STRETCHING AT THE TOP AND THE BOTTOM AND BOWING TOWARD THE CENTER. THIS COMMON ANNOYANCE TURNED INTO THE SCREEN SHUTTING OFF AT FIRST PERIODICALLY AND THEN ONCE EVERY TWO MINUTES (I AM NOT EXAGGERATING!)

MY LUCK: OF COURSE, IT IS TOO LATE TO RETURN IT TO AMAZON, SO NOW I HAVE TO "SUCK UP" MY LOSSES AND INVEST IN A HIGHER PRICED UNIT. HOPEFULLY I WILL NOT HAVE THESE KINDS OF PROBLEMS WITH THE NEXT MONITOR I PURCHASE.

THIS IS CRAZY, AS I HAVE OWNED MANY COMPUTERS IN MY LIFE AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME MY COMPUTER HAS OUTLASTED MY MONITOR! I HOPE THIS OFFERS CAUTION TO OTHER PEOPLE. TAKE HEED: SPRING FOR A HIGHER PRICED, MORE REPUTABLE UNIT!
