I bought this monitor partly based on the first review by jce1975. Shipping was awesome, I ordered it at noon on tuesday and received it at 5:15pm on Thursday. Two days! This is a good looking monitor, Black with a very small techno case. Well built too. It is much more compact than the other 19 inch Envision crt that I own. It goes perfect on my desk with my black dell dimension, black keyboard and speakers. I replaced the refurbished 17 inch (E171FPb) LCD flat panel I got from dell that had lousy resolution. Set up was a breeze because I had downloaded the drivers and naviset utility from the NEC site which does not come with the monitor. The only complaint I have is that the shadow mask holes are a bit larger than my Envision and make the picture a bit more grainy than the Envision. However the colors and the color separation are spectacular and superior to the Envision. The picture fills the entire screen is very square and flat and needed almost no adjustment out of the box. The naviset utility is the best I've seen for monitor adjustment.

I had a 17" sony before this and I cant believe my eyes this monitor is fantastic! I tweaked the settings to adjust the screen size (which by the way was very easy to do) and I am just blown away by the picture Im getting. Super sharp text, deep rich color. This is one well made monitor!

I was shopping around for a 19'' monitor to replace my Dell flatscreen 17''. I stopped by in BestBuy and CircuitCity a couple of times just to check out what I should expect from a 19'' monitor, in terms of size and picture quality. And then, I read some of the reviews in amazon.com for this monitor, before finally decided to order one from amazon.

What can I say, this monitor is first rate. Color is accurate. Contrast and brightness quality is excellent. The black color suits my Dell PC and keyboard perfectly.

If you are shopping around for a 19'' CRT monitor, get this one. You won't regret your decision.

This monitor seems to be working fine for my G-4 PowerMac. It needed quite a bit of tweaking out of the box but has since performed very nicely.

Good refresh rates (I'm working at 100mhz mostly because I can and because its easier on the eyes) and nice deep colors are the strong points for this monitor (along with the price). On the down side, the aperture grill is a bit more noticeable with this monitor than I'm used to. For high-end graphic designers and hardcore gamers you may want to look into other options.

For me, it was between this monitor and another. This one came with free shipping and got here in only 3 days! I do love this monitor. It looks great on my desk, the footprint is pretty small and the screen just looks fantastic. I definitely recommend this monitor. Great buy and the price cannot be beat.

First of all, I have to thank Amazon for shipping this monitor so quickly! I had the Free Shipping for it and it arrived 4 days after I ordered it! This 19" monitor looks beautiful! This monitor was an upgrade from a 17" I've had for several years. The image is crystal clear. I have my resolution set at 1152 x 864 at 75Hz (85Hz is possible!). For the gamers out there, this monitor is perfect for games like Counter Strike and Star Wars: Jedi Academy! I can't say enough good things about this monitor!

I purchased this monitor in December 2002, and by December 2003 the picture had turned green. Since that time the color has been on and off. Prior to this failure the color has always been beautiful, but I had hoped it would last longer than a year. I have been working with NEC to get a replacement, but in the end I will have to pay to ship the old monitor back, and they will only give me a refurb to replace my failed monitor. Not sure what to recommend instead.

I just received this monitor and it has made a very good first impression. It replaced an 8 year old outstanding Sony product. It is the clearest, sharpest, and brightest CRT monitor that I've seen.

I've had this monitor for 4 or 5 years now. I game alot and run at 16x12 resolution at 75Hz (the max for that resolution) and its great. This monitor has seen 3 video cards since I bought it and the colors are still vivid and its as bright as the day i bought it. I've recently noticed that the dark colors on the screen aren't as dark as they used to be so it is just starting to show some age. Nevertheless the picture quality is still superior to most of todays nicest LCDs. That said, i am planning on replacing the monitor with a 22-24" LCD mainly becuase i'd like a bigger screen that is also easier to transport.

Just a week ago I read a polarized reviews of this monitor asking myself which opinion to believe. At the end I was stupid enough to make a decision based on the professional look and average high marks. It was a mistake. The screen is realy bad.

I used to order computer hardware for the company I worked in and saw lots of good and bad CRTs. This one looks like a cheep "Business" series of other brands. Terrible moire on the left curable only by 100% h-moire correction, which on the other hand makes it a bit blurry. It looks like you can actualy see the crt mask. Every line is comletely separate. Every black dot has a colored side shades.

Don't beleave your eyes. This screen looks very professional but it's not.
