This review is from: NEC MultiSync EA221WM-BK 22 inch 1680X1050 DVI 5MS SPK USB Wide LCD Black Monitor (Electronics)
After working on a lap top for work out of my home office for over a year, I finally took the plunge after reading countless reviews on cNet, counsumer reports, amazon, etc. Found this screen to be great at what cNet also realized, which was great versatility in a working environment. Specifically, being able to adjust the screen height and screen viewing angle is great. This and the screens over all ease of use (options) along with picture quality are really good.
Now, I have an Dell XPS with great graphics and resolution. This monitor does not compete with that but for using with microsoft office, email, web browsing, the occasional videos on MSNBC, pictures, and other various general tasks that we all do from day to day, I find the screen meeting my expectations. I would rank it from 0 to 10, poor to perfect picture, a 7. If your looking for a screen to put out top of the line picture, this is not likely the best choice for you. The problem you will find will likely be the same as mine, which was extrodinary picture quality with adaptability (screen height adjustment). One option could be get the great screen you want and get an after market stand. Just an idea but overall, I feel this was a great choice for the price and I'm satisfied!

I have been using this monitor at work for a couple months. Solid monitor, good price, picture quality is fine for business applications, on-board speakers are convenient. Stand is very configurable and trustworthy. I am a longtime Samsung monitor-buyer, this was my first NEC, I am pleased with it- and please with the seller, Adorama Camera. No complaints, would recommend, especially at a cheap price (~$200).

I bought TWO of these monitors. I've been contemplating going to a multi-monitor setup for quite some time. I initially stated with a 24" Samsung BX2440 which was for sale at a great price at a nearby wholesale club. It was almost too big and switching from portrait to landscape mode required unhooking the power cord.
My main parameter for my new monitors was good picture, thin frame or bezel and classy looking. Thats what I found with these NEC's. The color is abundant, controls are easy AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HAVING BOTH OF THEM SIDE BY SIDE IN PORTRAIT MODE? Why do we use our widescreen monitors in landscape mode??We lose useful space on the sides and they take up much more room that way. These NEC's ROCK sitting next to each other in portrait mode. I URGE you to just try one of these monitors, or Especially TWO of them side by side in portrait mode, you will love them!
