MODEL- FE770-BK VENDOR- NEC MITSUBISHI ELECTRONICS FEATURES- MultiSync FE770 17 ClearFlat Monitor- black finish Make a bright investment in performance and value with the 17 (16 viewable) NEC MultiSync FE770 a flat-screen CRT monitor boasting superior image quality and minimized glare. This model cabinet which features a user-friendly design with recessed cable connections is available in white or black to match your system or laptop. * Utilizing NECs flat aperture grille CRT technology the MultiSync FE series provides a variety of benefits not offered by conventional flat square and traditional aperture grille CRTs. Compared to traditonal curved-screen CRT monitors flat-screen monitors provide less glare for reduced eyestrain and fatigue; less reflection; nearly three times greater image sharpness for improved clarity precision and accuracy; a higher contrast ratio for enhanced legibility and fine detail; and better brightness uniformity for consistent true-to-life images. * The OptiClear screen surface absorbs a portion of the ambient light hitting the screen while allowing the screen image to be displayed without distortion. It also further reduces glare and reflection while enhancing the original contrast and clarity. * View images at their best with true-to-life representation to the very edge of the screen without a distracting black border. * OSM (On-Screen Manager) controls for the most precise monitor adjustments available. A touch of the up-front controls activates the OSM giving the user access to a comprehensive set of adjustments and an expanded display mdoel with monitor information such as vertical refresh rate model number and serial number. 5.0 out of 5 stars Best monitor i have ever had, May 4, 2004

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: NEC MultiSync FE770-BK 17" CRT Monitor (Black) (Personal Computers)
This is the best monitor i have ever had. My last one was a cheap proview monitor where you could see the masking and the one before that was a cheap little 15 inch monitor. I love this monitor except that when you change resolutions there is a clicking sound. This can be annoying in videogames where people play at different resolutions like in the total war games where the turn based and real time based parts of the game are in different resolutions and everytime the resolution changes there is a clicking sound.
