The V50LCD from NEC/Mitsubishi is a sleek and affordable monitor with a number of useful features. It combines ease of use with a high quality image that's perfect for the home or home office. A maximum resolution of 1,024 x 768, 0.297 mm dot pitch, high 500:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits of brightness, and over 16 million colors provide an accurate, detailed onscreen image that's suitable for a variety of applications.
The V50LCD has a 25 ms response time (typical), a 31 kHz to 60.0 kHz horizontal frequency, and a 56.0 Hz to 75.0 Hz vertical frequency. With a modest 14-by-5.9-inch footprint, the V50LCD fits easily onto any convenient surface, and is also wall mountable, freeing up desktop space completely. The 50LCD has 140-degree horizontal and 120-degree vertical viewing angles and an adjustable tilt (up 25 degrees and down -5 degrees), permitting easy placement on your desk for comfortable viewing. With the onscreen controls, you adjust a wide variety of settings, including brightness, contrast, H/V position, H/V size, and more.
Energy Star certified, the V50LCD is plug-an-play ready to use right out of the box. It weighs just 6.6 pounds (5.7 pounds without the base). It accepts analog input signals (0.7 Vp-p/75 Ohms positives) and connects to your computer via a standard 15-pin mini D-sub cable. The AC 100-120/220-240 V power supply consumes just 22 W during normal operation (typical) and less than 2 W on standby. PC and Mac compatible, the V50LCD also comes backed with a three-year limited warranty.

I never thought the monitor mattered much, but when I needed to fit my computer onto a tiny desktop in my kitchen a flat LCD monitor became a necessity. The Mitsubishi Diamond Point V50LCD is not only appealing to look at when off but offers brighter screen images than any previous screen I owned. It is simple to set up, takes almost no space and can in fact be mounted on the wall-something I am considering. The colors are brighter and truer than I thought possible. This is well worth the money, especially if space is an issue.

This is truly the best 15" Lcd in the market.
Pros: 500:1 Contrast 300 Brightness Easy of Manual Appealing Look 3 Year Warranty Cons: No Dvi (do not care about it so much as analog connector does good job for now) Manual says 1 Year Warranty- checked with Mitsubishi customer support- 3 Year Warranty Paid for it 299$ which is expensive for 15", but well worth the money. Instead of going with cheap 17", buy the good 15" Lcd such as Nec Mitsubishi v50

Just out of the box, the display didn't look that great. Then I adjusted the "focus" on the screen and it looked a little better. There was a definite alias probelm on the text and icons before I bumped the focus down to 50. The screen definitely has a nice brightness to it and good color.
Can't go too wrong for this price. Overall, so far so good.
