This review is from: NECA A Christmas Story 7 Inch Scale Action Figure Flick (Toy)
Poor flick. He gets beaten up by bullies and is finally dared to licking a frozen flag pole... and only the fire department can free him.As someone who got their tongue stuck to an ice tray, I can tell you, it HURTS... but as long as you survive intact, it's a funny story later. Flick has his tongue sticking out and comes with the pole. The level of detail is impressive.

This review is from: NECA A Christmas Story 7 Inch Scale Action Figure Flick (Toy)
Being a toy collector, I was THRILLED when I found out one of my favorite films would be getting its own toy line: "A Christmas Story!" This films defines Christmas for me the way "Hocus Pocus" defines Halloween! It's perfection! Most of the small line of action figures are equally impressive! This is Flick, who was better known as the weasely member of Ralphie's little band of friends, but in this case, turned out to be the victim (rather than Schwartz, who was once described by creator Jean Shepherd as a victim from birth). Based on a scene from the film that has become legendary, Flick is depicted here after taking a "triple-dog-dare," and sticking his tongue to a frozen flagpole. Just like Schwartz said, it stuck! The likeness, despite what some might say, is actually quite good considering the scene it was based on, and this piece makes a hilarious display! Highly recommended for collectors or fans of the film, Flick comes complete with his tongue outstreched and a frozen flagpole he is magnetically drawn to. Flick is a wonderful, nostalgic toy, though not recommended as a plaything for children since it can't really do anything beyond look awesomely hilarious on display! Please, give us more toys from this wonderful film!
