I bought this thinking it was a miniature replica of the game version, only to find out that it is metal-stamped on one side only.
I have downloaded 2 images that you can view to get a better idea of what it looks like (I also included its lengthwise size on the front-view image).

One side is completely flat and smooth. This isn't clear in the picture. That being said, I still like the keychain.

This is a very sturdy little keychain that will hold up to the challenge any normal person can run it through tossing your keys about all the time. Its an excellent conversation piece for anyone who doesn't know the reference. A sign of a true Gears of War fan to have this keychain.

I ordered this keychain for me and one as a gift. My only complaint is that the keychain in the image is not what you get. The image shows an embossed metal keychain, a little bit shiny, but the real object is a matte, flat out, carved out keychain. And yes, is exactly the image that you see, a Lancer Assault Rifle with the legend "Gears of War". Anyway, it seems to be durable and serves for the intended purpose.

if you love gears of war this a cool lil keychain to have. Its heavy so its not 1 of those plastic piece of craps...looks jus like the real thing only tiny (obviously) it has no working or moving parts but nonetheless I get lots of questions about where I got it from because they never seen one like it...highly recommend

I am a Gears of War fan and wanted this item for my collection of Gears stuff. I imagine it works fine, but I left mine in the plastic it came in and that is where it will remain.

It doesn't come with a bottle opener and I can not find any way of it to work as a bottle opener. Plus, some of the links are really weak and don't really hold for to long.

Not much I can say about this item, it's a well made keychain, my son loves it, the only problem he had was that one of the links kept opening, I removed the (weakest) link, and it's all good now!

El llavero es excelente, lo unico malo es que la cadenita que lo sostiene esta muy delgada y se abre facilmente.
