Fans rotate very slow so it doesnt pulls much air on the laptop. When you put the laptop over the fans, it gets kind of innestable so try to equilibrate it. I tested its performance with a software that detects processor speed and it only got down 4 degrees celsius in average, so its not that much. For example, just putting the laptop over a pad and leaving space below the laptop so air can flow worked for getting it about 6-7 degrees celsius in average. Know i know why does it costs just 6 bucks.

This product has two big design flaws. The first one is it is too low to the surface it sits on. Because of this,the air flow is weak. The second flaw is the USB cable that hooks in to the computer. It is weakly attached to the product. Also, in my opinion, this fan isn't suitable for a 15.4 inch laptop.

Decent for the money and easily portable...cord rubber slid off near usb connector already, but still works--only good on flat surfaces as fans are not protected on each side.

I like these cooling pads because they prop up your game system (I have both an xbox 360 and ps3) and really help the airflow. Other cooling pads don't have as much open airflow as this "x" design. There is minimal contact space between the pad and the game console which really helps keep everything cool. I do not use the fans, they don't work that much. I do use other usb fans for that.

This thing is a piece of crap and a complete waste of money. It's flimsy and the fans aren't covered so you can't use it on a surface where there is uneven fabric, you know-like you're lap. Save your money and buy something that will actually do what you want it to.

It's quiet. It cools. It's great to carry around. It folds up smaller than a book. When it's folded out, it isn't quiet big enough for my 15" MacBook Pro to sit on without tipping a bit every now and then. It really only happens if I lean on it with my wrists a bit too much and it's not perfectly centered. When it is perfectly centered, it's great.

I didn't have very high expectations for this device and it's a good thing.
If you use it on anything soft the weight of the laptop pushes it down so that the fan stops and the laptop overheats.
On a hard surface the weight of the laptop pushes the screws on the device's bottom onto the surface it is sitting on and even the slightest bump will scar that surface. Once it scarred a table I tossed it.
I placed a couple of erasers under the back corners of the laptop and that works great. Cost a little more (about .10 cents), but worth it. This laptop cooler for a penny? Not worth it, especially if pay any shipping or you damage furniture using it.

Bottom line...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It works on and off...just a little cheap...but it is what it is when you pay what you pay...still it does its job when I need it.

great fan i am going to get a few spares i put one under our wii and it turns on automaticly. the other folds down and fits in my back pack and is there when needed.
