5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfect
This remote is perfect, light, and easy to use. The package came pretty quick, and was ready to use right out of the box. It's literally as easy as to point and click. There are no settings to mess with other than the ones on you're camera. The remote itself consists of just 1 button and a battery. The only thing I don't like was that it didn't come with an extra battery,...

3.0 out of 5 stars ehhh
its really decent remote. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. my friend figured out if you press really hard on the middle of the remote, and the actual button at the sam time it will work. im guessing there is something wrong with the electrical circuit or contact with the battery. maybe mine was just defective. good price. but you get what you pay for.

The only thing I don't like was that it didn't come with an extra battery, but for 5 dollars compared with most of the other camera remotes costing about $30; I can't really complain. Good buy, would recommend it for anyone else who is looking for a good cheap remote.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect little remote , bargin priced!, November 11, 2010

This review is from: NEEWERŽ Wireless IR Remote Control Shutter Release ML-L3 For Nikon D40, D40X, D50, D60, D70, D70S, D80, D90, D3000, D5000, F55, F65, F75, N65, N75, Coolpix 8400, 8800 Pronea S, Nuvis S & Lite Touch Zoom Cameras (Electronics)
Operates my Nikon D90 perfectly, just need to aim straight at the camera while standing in front of it, doesn't work from the side or behind the camera. To use it efficiently, set the camera to remote + delay timer which allows a 2 second delay after you press the remote, this allows you to lower your hand down so you don't look like an idiot pointing at the camera while taking the picture. Easy!!

Bought on 15th, received on 21st. No shipping info furnished, broad delivery range quoted. Delivery was at short end of range. Came in a small box. Unit is very small, should have ordered a couple for the price I paid. Seemed like it did not work, no instructions. Looked on Nikon website for Nikon's version (I have a D5000) and found you need to go into the camera's Menu, Custom Settings, Release Mode. One of the selections is a very small picture of the remote with 2s next to it(two second delay), and the next is a very small picture of the remote with nothing next to it (immediate fire). You must pick one of these, or set up a delay timer (another one of the selections) and pick it. This unit is IR (infrared, you must aim directly at the sensor), the sensor is on the front of the camera, just below the "picture taking" button. Therefore, you must be in front of the camera. Would be nice to have another sensor behind, as I want to use for extended exposures, not wanting to shake the camera by pushing the shutter release, and not being in the picture. But for the price I paid... The cost of shipping was 33 (thirty-three) times the cost of the unit. Very, very cheap as compared to the Nikon brand on Amazon at 3 times more than my total cost and 6 times more on the Nikon site. Tried it at about 10 ft. and it worked. Haven't tried it out to 16 ft as advertised. Four stars because no instructions. At least on the box, could have said "Camera settings required for use!" I would have paid double the price for those few words.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple item, great price, and it works for my Nikon D3000., April 9, 2011

I didn't really NEED a wireless remote, but it's a nice feature. So I searched Amazon and found this remote. The reviews were decent, so for $3.00 I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the remote and it came within three days. I took it out of the box, set my camera to the correct settings (I have a Nikon D3000) and the remote worked as described. It's just one button and it does it's job...pretty simple. I definitely think it's worth the money. There's no need to go out and get an expensive remote.

The remote works perfectly with my Nikon D3000. The IR is strong enough that it doesn't always need to be pointed directly at the camera, which is good if you're trying to take a picture of yourself or a group you're in.

Arrived on time.
Brand new as stated.
Worked right away as soon as I set the camera option to remote.
Worked as far as 10 feet and somehow worked even when I am behind the camera.
Will recommend.

Works great, same as the Nikon ML-L3. I know because I used to have the Nikon version but I sold it with my D70, only to later realize my N65 used the same remote. The only thing you don't get for about 1/3 the price is a instruction manual, but a PDF version can be downloaded from Nikon.

Not much needs to be said about a remote for a camera. I am using this on my Nikon D40X, and have not had a problem with it at all. Great for self-portraits or nighttime shooting with a tripod to reduce motion.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me, October 20, 2011
This review is from: NEEWERŽ Wireless IR Remote Control Shutter Release ML-L3 For Nikon D40, D40X, D50, D60, D70, D70S, D80, D90, D3000, D5000, F55, F65, F75, N65, N75, Coolpix 8400, 8800 Pronea S, Nuvis S & Lite Touch Zoom Cameras (Electronics)
When i received this remote, i at first thought it didn't work because it wouldn't trigger my D40X. I did some looking around online and saw that it looked exactly like a rebranded copy of Nikon's own remote (NOT the same as the remote pictured for this Amazon ad). I followed Nikon's instructions and found that I had missed a setting that needed to be engaged on my camera. I set it up correctly, and the remote worked perfectly. I tested it down the longest hall in my dorm and unobstructed the remote worked fine when facing me. I then tried it from behind the camera and found that it still worked as long as you were within a meter or so of the camera. I see nothing wrong nor nothing special about this remote, it works just like it is advertised.

I bought my IR Remote for my Nikon D5100 from Red Star Supermall. This is the 2nd purchase I've made with this vendor and I've been very happy so far (last order was a GPS for my camera).

I read the reviews so when I got my remote, I pulled off the insulator from the battery terminal. I turned my camera on and set it for remote-2sec delay. It just works. I'm not sure what else to say.

The remote looks different than what's pictured (not good or bad as I'm indifferent about it).

I'll have to say that I'll be order more stuff from this vendor. This purchase was an easy 5 star for the product and vendor.

Gary
