I already owned a 42" profesional 5 in 1 reflector from Adorama and I have found this 22" 5 in 1 reflector to be of equally quality but for a fraction of the price. It's portable and easy to use on location. If you have more than one subject I would recomend a larger reflector but this one works just fine if you have just one subject. For the price and quality this is well worth the purchase.

At less than $4, this reflector set seemed too good a bargain to resist. So far, that analysis is true.

As the product literature shows, this reflector is a single piece that can be transformed to serve as five different reflector types. All five are based around the translucent filter that is held alone when used as a diffuser. Getting another effect involves zipping one of the other pieces over the translucent diffuser. Changing from one to another is quick and simple enough.

My only wrong perception with the product is that I didn't realize everything revolved around the diffuser as a base unit. I had thought that I might be able to use two of the reflectors at once. I was wrong in that perception. I could use two of the reflectors together if I built my own 22" diameter piece as a frame for extra sleeve.

I use this reflector to take pictures of small animals. For photographing a person, maybe this reflector would be too small for complete coverage. For working alone with a small animal, this reflector is the perfect size. I don't have enough hands to manipulate a large reflector, a camera, and occasionally the subject.

Impressed with the overall quality of the unit, and the handles are super helpful in keeping a sure grip. Added bonus, there are threaded holes on the each grip which I'm assuming are used to secure to a reflector holder arm, but they can also be used on a lighstands. The 43" is too tall/floppy to do this with just, but just barely so I think the smaller ones probably would be able to stand vertical this way. I do not own the other sizes so I can't be certain if that would work, or that they also have these screw holes but they probably do. One negative for me, the Gold and White are one cover, wish it were Black on one side White on the other.

Before I purchased this I was using a 2-in-1 Circular Collapsible Disc Reflector and it was half the size of this one.
This is still very portable, when twisted up and zipped in the provided bag.
The bag has a zipper and a loop.
I feed a strap from my lowepro camera bag through the loop.
Also consider using your pant's belt and this could be by your waist when needed, or your assistant's.
(Small warning) for those that have never opened these before!
Be sure to open slowly and with a good grip.
This will open up very quickly and could cause damage to nearby objects or person's. (maybe watch a video on the you tube) :)
OK now that it's opened up.
You'll have a silver side and the other will be black.
Hold by the handles. We have 3 more colors to get too.
Find the 2 zippers and unzip both.
Set one end to the ground and press in the area of the handle.
This will allow you to slide and remove the outer black and silver. (which is reversible) :)
This now reveals the translucent reflector.
So reverse and now you'll now have white and gold on the other.
Apply by pressing down on the handle, then slide over the white and gold.
Zip both zippers.

So the bottom line.
Well worth every penny.
Super portable.
Great quality.
You get 5 reflectors: 1 is black, 2 is silver, 3 is gold, 4 is white, and 5 is translucent.
Has 2 handles for control during your photo shoot
Also works great with a Reflector Holder, if you don't have an assistant.
It bounces the light very well.
"Package Size" is correct. So when this is zipped up and you need to travel. you're looking at almost a 16" circle
Hope this review helps.

First off, because of the amazing price, I was thinking this would only last about 3 weeks (I was planning on using it a lot). I gotta say, I was wrong. This has been pretty sturdy, and has lasted me about 3 months now. When folded this thing fits perfectly into the laptop/tablet compartment of my lowepro DSLR video backpack. Also, when I was carrying a laptop or an iPad around it was easy to just clip the reflector to the outside of numerous bags using a simple keychain carabiner. The quality of the reflecting surfaces were great, but the zipper felt a bit cheap feeling. Another thing is they decided to go with silver/black instead of silver/white which would have been much more practical. If your are trying to decided whether or not to go to a bigger size, this one is great for handholding (one person photo shoot).
To give you an idea of what each color is used for, here you go:
Silver-used for cloudy days, to add highlights to the subject
Black-Used to block out unwanted light
Gold-Used for portraits to get a warmer skin tone.
White-Neutral color; soft shadows and natural looking
Translucent inner liner-Used to diffuse light; nice effect if done properly

I admit I bit off more then I can chew. The 43 inch triangle grip reflectors are just too big. I would go with the smaller units if I purchased again. The quality of the product so far (2 shoots 1 in wind) has been great. I have not found anything that would make me think the product would fail. Having the sleeve and being able to go blackout or gold to warm up a shot is amazing. I would say this product is very comparable to the Lastolite TriGrip that costs considerable more and do not include sleeves. Again if I was purchasing again I would go to the smaller size format. Below is a photo being warmed up with the gold side for fill of the face. Great product I will most like purchase the smaller units as well.

**UPDATE**
The grips contain screw holds to mount on light stands. The handles can not hold a horizontal placement of the 43" triangle grips. Both of mine busted open in this position. I used 8 tie-wraps to reinforce the handles this seemed to work but I still needed to put a stand under the reflectors to hold them better. If you are using a HLS (Human Light Stand) they can support the form better. I took off 2 stars because they broke in zero wind.

Price is reasonable and my wife liked her gift, so I can't complain. Also, the material quality appears to be pretty good.

Absolutely wonderful quality for the price. good size for headshots/portraits/children. I could see this not lasting a very long time if you use it a ton but it's an off brand and at a quarter of the price its great

Works very well, easy to change, and small enough to fit in my camera bag without hassle. I am looking forward to using it this spring for outdoor shoots.
