The neogeo pocket color is THE SYSTEM to buy this year. Do not go with the flow, everyone who owns one of these, like I do, loves it and anyone who has a game boy and tries it imeeditately converts if they love games.

Why is it so good? It has great graphics and game capability, more speed, a better CPU, a much more comfortable and natural keyboard layout, more everything than game boy. For god sakes. game boy is 10 years old, its like a model T next to this.

And don't be fooled by lack of games, cause each ngpc game is great, Id rather have 20 awesome games then 200 so-so games (hint game boy). And coming by christmas is Sonic yes Sonic and its suppose to be the best Sonic ever, also Beast Busters (a sort of gothic rpg/shooter) Snk vs Campcom card clash, like magic the gathering and Snk vs Campcom fighting game, perhaps the best fighting game ever, on any system.

Make yourself a treat or make your son or daughter the envy of all their friends, buy this, you will not be disappointed.

NeoGeo Pocket Color is really awesome. You get awesome ports of arcade games without having to be challanged by people. the games play smooth and solid, and with a 16bit cpu, the eye candy is mighty tasty. Some great games are Sonic Pocket Adventure and King of the Fighters R-2. In a short time, we'll get SKN VS CAPCOM........this one is a sure fire hit. If you think the 70 clams is alot of money, your right, but it is WELL worth it. If you have a small child that loves pokemon, dont get this for them, this is for TRUE gamers that love games, but are on the move(so you cant play home systems). Now, we know something is good when a major company teams up with them. Sega supports this NGPC, so expect to see some GREAT games. Right now, you have 3 choices for a portable system: Game Boy Color, Neo Geo Pocket Color or Wonder Swan(lame name). Now, WS is in black and white, so it has a disadvantage. GBC is aimed twords younger children with pokemon fever (is has some nice games, Grand Theft Auto is nice, and there will be a Tomb Raider). But, NGPC gets the gold. They have really nice games out now, and will have great ones to come. PICK THIS ONE!

The smaller roster of NGPC's games is packed with quality titles. So far, I own 6 games and love every one of them. If you are a puzzle-lover, I highly recommend Puyo Puyo Pop and Magical Drop. Sports enthusiasts should check out Turf Masters and Baseball Stars. King of Fighter R2 and Samurai Showdown 2 should put smiles on faces of all fighter's fans. With more games coming out each month(can't wait for SNK vs Capcom and Sonic) from SNK and other strong third party developers(including Sega, yes!), the future looks pretty bright. So, do youself a favor by picking up a NGPC today. Better yet, tell you friends to get one too, then link up for some insanely good time.

I have 10 games and they are all good. there may not be many games for this system yet but I can happily say that there is not one Bad game on this system.for some strange reason snk won't release any game that plays like garbage, i guess unlike nintendo they have quality control..BUY IT NOW!

Easy on the eyes, smooth control, really fun! The most important aspect of any game is playably. The joystick is a joy! It is much better than the cross controller on the Game Boy. There are fewer games, but much better quality games on the Neogeo Pocket than there is on the Nintendo Game Boy.

This is an excellent hand-held gaming system. It does out-perform the Gameboy Color (I have both,) and has some additional features that put it over the top. The biggest things is the graphics. The NeoGeo has a much clearer screen, and the higher color output makes for clearer gameplay. Neither has backlighting, which is disappointing, but neither gets the advantage in that category anyway. The control is great, especially for fighting games where there are a limited number of buttons and thus rolling is a necessity. The nongame features are fun too, even if most of them are relatively useless. The clock and alarm might be useful, but if you have a working watch instead, then these aren't very helpful. The horoscope isn't exciting, but it's OK if you're bored or such (it displays 4 catedgories and gives each between 1 and 5 stars for your horoscope). The world time feature is alright, but you have to remember to select YOUR country first.

Anyway, all in all it's great, especially insofar as it's superior in quality to the GBC. Keep an eye out for the Game Boy Advanced, though, because I think that will make the NGPC obsolete. Until then, this is the choice.

I did not find the system to be as good as the hype. The first thing I didn't like was how the actual screen is only part of the black area which is a little annoying. Next the graphics didn't seem too stunning on a few games like Samurai Showdown 2. The control however magnificent it is, doesn't make that much of a difference. You can even get an add-on for the game boy color so it has a gamepad like the NGPC(the NGPC still has a better one though). Overall it is an ok system. Maybe a few more commercial games, better customer service from snk, and more support from the USA would make this system a better buy. I recommend getting the sonic bundle which includes the new sonic game and the NGPC if you really want to buy this system.

I have yet to find any serious fault with this sweet little system. The joystick is excellent providing precise input and tactile feed back. The games are a little scarce but so far every title I have picked up has been very enjoyable. The battery life is amazing, the neo geo just keeps going and goign, I am up to my seventieth hour of play and I am only on my second set of 2 AA batteries. My only complaint is as of yet there is no Tetris, the all time great of portable gaming. All in all this system is highly reccomended.

Well, my missus bought me this for our anniversary, and I have to say that this is the best 16 bit colour handheld out (even beating the Sega Nomad). Excellent games, Arcade perfect PacMan including the Coffee Break screen, able to play games from any region without an adapter, dreamcast linkable.... the list of pro`s go on, with no cons at all. A neat compact decent system worthy for anyone to own. Make your kids happy, get them this handheld.

I bought this for my 5 year old son, and we love it. I like the size of the screen and the graphics are really good. The only drawback is the company just went bankrupt and the games (the few of them that there are) are really hard to find now. I wouldn't recommend buying one unless you bought all the games at toyrus.com and there are a few more at etoys, right now before they quit selling them, a lot of the stores already have.
