The newest in a line of box sets, this one contains the complete, remastered, platinum tv series in 5.1 surround sound with a couple of extras. Some decals and a disk full of screensavers has been included. The highlight, though, is the limited edition, 10th anniversary, satin bomber jacket with an embroidered EVA logo on the front and a ghosted image of unit 1 on the back. Fans of evangelion who have already purchased the platinum edition must ask themselves if they are willing to pay for the jacket. This edition is awesome for first-time buyers, though.

Good lord, yet ANOTHER release of Eva? This is, by my count, the third boxed set of eva in 4 years. I wonder what limited special edition double barrelled gold plated special additions they'll put it to justify re-re-releasing it. I'm giving the anime 5 stars, but the obvious money bilking attempt gets -100.

This is the greatest anime of all time dont let my skepticism get to you. But this is like the 4th time it has been presented in a boxed set format. Is there anything which makes this different from the past 3 releases of Neon on boxed set? I cant answer that for you. Only if you are a fan and you have one of the previous boxed sets, don't bother make them tell you why this one is important. Otherwise i love this series it is the best in all anime history. A series that will make you think.
