Very shocked by the range and speed this router provided for my in home network. this router effectively doubled my coverage in my home and the speed boost of the new AC band was a pretty big bonus. I was a bit hesitant about having something with three antennas on it but to be honest they're repostionable and fairly easy to get out of the way. this little unit has helped my home network do much more than I originally thought. I can run a fluid streaming media server in home now so my big bad media pc can stay in my office with it's noisy fans while my home theater pc does it's quiet little thing in the living room. I'm happy :)

AC750 Dual Band Router by Netgear is plug ‘n play solution for those who don’t need complicated network devices but just want to use all wired and wireless devices they have connected in home network.

Therefore, inside the package user besides the obvious will receive only the Ethernet cable, quick guide and power adapter, and router is compatible of all major platforms – Windows, Mac OS, Linux and UNIX. Because of supported simultaneous dual band which enable speed up to 300+433 Mbps Netgaear router will be welcomed by gamers and those in need for streaming of high definition videos,

Featuring strong external antenna (5dBi) router can be easily used in larger spaces providing good range, while additionally offering ReadyShare access enabling user to wirelessly connect and share USB printers and hard drives.

It has somewhat unusual appearance with its three antennas, but believe me that because of its range this visual flaw will soon be forgotten.

Overall, Netgear AC750 is good and recommended router solution if you have basic networking needs, you are on budget and need to cover larger space with WiFi signal.

Netgear AC750 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router (R6050) Review

I have received the Netgear AC750 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router (R6050) as a free product to review. First, the overall build quality is pretty good for a basic router. The AC adapter that is included sort of flex a bit but still has a pretty good rigidity. The router itself feels decently solid but will not survive a high fall if that does happened. Remember it’s a home router and not a black box. The design of the router has three fixed omnidirectional antennas, one front USB port, one WAN port, four gigabit LAN ports, a rear power button, and a front WDS button. There is no wizard setup CD because that option is integrated into the router and can be access when logged into the router. This feature eliminates the problem of losing the setup wizard CD which is very helpful for those who don’t know have to setup the router manually. The initial setup is very simple and straightforward made possible by the integrated setup wizard. The wizard automatically detected my cable internet service and I was able to immediately connect to the internet through the router wired or wireless. So therefore, this router has a very user friendly setup. A side note when setting up a MAC address filter is that it is called “Wireless Card Access List” instead. Located in the Advanced tab, then go to Advanced Setup -> Advanced Wireless Settings -> Set Up Access List. There is also an app that can be downloaded called Netgear Genie to manage and monitor the router without having to log in through the web browser. This app is supported on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. The advanced settings within the router is design mainly for common residential and small businesses as long no VPN is needed.

Verified Purchase
This is an excellent router with an excellent price if you need an Internet flamethrower. I had to provide a good signal for streaming video in a 6000 foot facility. Literally from one corner to the other is where I needed the signal to go, with about 5 partitions between. Instead of having to run a wire I got a 3 bar solid internet in that back room. Thanks netgear for always making a quality product!

Router seems fine- please note, the antennas feel/appear to be fixed and cannot be removed. It can be mounted on the wall. This has a similar range to my Asus N65 router, but so far I cannot get AirPrint to work with my iOS devices. The printer is connected to the network, and previously worked with my Asus router...which is frustrating. I have only owned this router for 3 days, and will update this review as needed.

Update: 7/28- Called Netgear support who informed me the only way to get AirPrint working is to run the Netgear Genie constantly on a local computer. To me this was not a workaround I wanted to pursue, as I expected the AirPrint feature to work natively without add on software. Like others have mentioned, the quality of this product is subpar- and the middle antenna does feel like it could break off the back panel of the router. Overall, I am very disappointed with this product and will be returning to Amazon (already replaced with an Asus RT-N66U).

Hi Mike,

If your printer is a native AirPrint supported printer and it's capable of Ethernet or wireless connectivity, then there is no need to install additional NETGEAR apps. After connecting the printer to the R6050, you should be able to print to the router from iOS devices. However, if the printer does not come with AirPrint support, then the NETGEAR Mac/Windows Genie is required to enable the AirPrint. Please refer to the Installation Guide in the section Readyshare Printer for instructions on how to set this up. If you continue to have problems please email us your contact information along with a link to your review to amazon@netgear.com. Also please include the following information:

What is the model of your printer and does it support AirPrint natively?

Is the printer connected to the R6050 via Ethernet/wireless or USB interface?

Do you have a support case number, and if so what is the number?

regards,

Netgear Team

Really like it. Works quite well even in a pretty big two story house. Small and conceals well so guest never noticed it. Received this completely free because of the Friends and Family test and review program (Thank you). Only small detail was that I had to keep restarting the first couple of 2 days because it would lose connection. But after that it has been fine.
