We have had the “NETGEAR Wireless-N 300 USB Adapter (WNA3100) - Manufacturer Refurbished” for a few days and it works perfectly. I may even buy a second one for my husband since he is periodically away on business and always in need of a strong internet connection. A great buy for anyone looking to improve their internet connection.
I was within a few clicks of buying me a hard drive because I kept getting the BSOD all of a sudden. Right in the middle of typing something....BSOD. I restarted and let the computer go through all the checks. Five minutes later....BSOD.
I went so far as to reset my machine from a backup from Acronis. Everything is fine for a few minutes, and then it is the BSOD again...............and then the Internet connection just quit working altogether.
I unplugged this thing and plugged in my old Belkin........No more BSOD.
This has happened a couple times since then. I seem to be a glutton for punishment. About the only reason I didn't send these things back (I got two) was the extension cable is really nice.
It never disconnect from the network and quite honestly I don't even pay attention to it. It's like it's a wired connection.
It's only Kryptonite is the Microwave, as well as other wireless devices, but as soon as the microwave is done, it goes back without a hitch.
