The NETGEAR XEPS103 Space Saving Powerline Network Extender offers:
  • An easy way to extend a network through your power lines at 85 Mbps
  • Ability to double as a power supply for many NETGEAR routers to reduce clutter
  • True plug and play simplicity
The NETGEAR XEPS103 Space Saving Powerline Network Extender lets you easily extend a network using just the existing electric lines of your home, eliminating the need to run unsightly Ethernet wires all over your house or apartment. It also reduces clutter and saves an outlet by doubling as the power supply for many NETGEAR routers.

True Plug and Play Installation While Reducing Clutter
To extend a network using the electric lines in your home, you'll also need a separately sold NETGEAR Powerline Network Adapter such as the XE102, XE103, or XE104. Simply plug the XEPS103 into a wall outlet and connect it to your router with an Ethernet cord. Plug the other Powerline Network Adapter into any wall outlet and you have an instant Ethernet port to plug a computer, gaming console, or other networkable device with an RJ-45 Ethernet plug. You can create as many network connections as you need by connecting more Powerline Network Adapters. The device has easy-to-read icon LEDs for status information at a glance.

The XEPS103 has two outputs, one which connects to the router's Ethernet port, and another which connects to many NETGEAR routers' power port. This eliminates the need for a separate power supply for the router, reducing clutter and preserving an outlet.

Fast Performance
The XEPS103 is HomePlug 1.0 compatible and supports speeds up to 85 Mbps which is enough for multiple video streams without interruptions. In order to get speeds at 85 Mbps, you must use either the XE103 or XE104; the XE102 only supports speeds up to 14 Mbps.

The XEPS103 supports 56-bit DES encryption to keep your information safe. To use the configuration utility, a PC with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, Me, or 98SE is required.

The NETGEAR XEPS103 Space Saving Powerline Network Extender is backed by a 1-year warranty.

What's in the Box

Right out of the box works fantastically.

Have it working with Netgear Wireless G router and powerline 4-port switch in my living room to provide network access to my xbox360 and airport express. Both components work great. No problems.

Recommended for anyone.

I got the xeps103 Powerline Network Extender (or Homeplug) extender to use the ethernet/internet capabilities of our DishNetwork receiver. It was completely plug & play (although I had to connect the DishNetwork receiver directly into the wall outlet, instead of the powerstrip). Plugged everything in (I have a Netgear wgr614 router) and it worked without incident.

great stuff, if it were all like this...
