Deanna Jewel is a multi-genre romance author of historical, time travel and soon, contemporary, novels. Her first novel is an Indian time travel, Never Surrender, and her second novel is an historical, No Turning Back - set in England in 1778. She has been writing for several years. Now living in northern Idaho in the Pacific Northwest, she is working on her third novel.

Deanna Jewel is a master storyteller who expertly draws you into her world. While reading "Never Surrender" you'll feel as if you're sitting with the Shoshone Indians, gazing at a campfire, listening to beautiful Native American lores.

Katelyn Bradach manages the Native American Dept. of a historical museum. She's under a great deal of stress and has been experiencing recurrent dreams involving a handsome warrior. She leaves Pennsylvania and heads to Wyoming for a much needed hiatus; hoping to find the meaning of her dreams. What she finds is much more than she bargained for. In order to embrace her life, her future, she must first delve into her past.

A chance meeting with a handsome half-breed Shoshone named Brandon, will propel Kate into a tribal legend. When the journey ends, her heart and soul will never be the same. Never Surrender deals with themes of pride, prejudice, hate, but also with love and sacrifice.

The secondary characters were as "critical" to this story as the main characters. You'll fall in love with Ahanu, Aiyana, young Kelee and Sakima the shaman.

Is it possible that Kate and Brandon have known each other in another time? Can Kate and Taima another handsome half-breed Shoshone overcome their pride & prejudices to find something beautiful and precious lying beneath?

I loved Taima's character! A man who's endured great loss and pain, but protects those he loves no matter the consequence.

A beautiful must read! I highly recommend it to all romance lovers.

Never Surrender is a touching, heartwarming read, that will show you the power of love.

Kate Bradach has recurring dreams about a handsome Indian warrior, who seems to be calling to her. Finally when enough is enough she travels west in search of the answers behind her nightly dreams. Kate's fate becomes a mystery as her soul mate is on a quest to reunite them at all cost.

Taima is a strong character with a heart of stone. He lost his mother and wife to white man trappers, and even with revenge and hatred for the white man, his honor will not allow him to lease Kate to the same fate as his wife. I enjoyed Taima's struggle with his feelings for Kate, and his hatred for the white man. It added the right amount of drama to the love story, that was growing between them. His heart may belonged to his late wife, but it seems his soul belongs to this beautiful green-eyed white woman.

Having traveled where Never Surrender takes place I have to say I enjoyed how the setting came alive, as well as the character. While reading Never Surrender I realized how much research Deanna must have done to get the details of the daily chores and family life correct, and I appreciated that. I don't think it would have had the same affect if it wasn't so well researched and thought out.

Never Surrender is a well crafted ageless romance, with strong, rich characters. The power of Love is strong in Never Surrender , and transcends boundaries. In Never Surrender , Deanna Jewel also shows us the depths of the Shoshone culture, and Native American lore. There is heartache and joy throughout every chapter, as well as enough suspense and drama to keep you turning the pages.
