This series, originally produced for Mutual Radio in the l940's, is complete with commercial sponsors. The two stories, "The Terrifying Cats" and "The Submarine Caves," both half-hour broadcasts, give a wonderful glimpse back to American life before television. Disturbing racial stereotypes, which were prevalent when these tapes were broadcast, are a sobering experience today. The plots are almost secondary to the experience of reliving radio classics which were the unchallenged focus of entertainment for an entire country.
