NEW Extra Large 54" x 34" Beasley's Couch Dog Bed!

I have a 115lb rotty and he loves this. I used to have a old couch from college that i kept just for him, but eventually it got really filthy and it had to go. I never bought him a bed because I thought he was fine sleeping on the runners we have around the house (hard wood floors). Eventually he started sleeping on the bed. It didn't happen all the time and it was mostly when no one was home so it didn't really bother me. He would always jump down as soon as he heard the key in the door. Until one day when I get home for work, not only is he passed out on the bed like he was out partying all night, but he looks up at me like I was disturbing HIM!!!!! Well it was at this point I realized that I had created a monster and this had gone too far. I immediately searched online for the perfect bed and found this. When it FINALLY arrived I placed it in a prime location for him so that he had a good view of everything in the house and he hasn't moved since. He only gets up to go outside or to follow me around and even that is only sometimes now. The extra large was a good size for him. He can spread out on the whole thing or curl up against one corner. I can vacuum the fur or unzip the cloth and take it outside to beat the fur off then throw it in the wash. He definitely loves the bed and I love myself for making the purchase. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it took a week to ship and another week to arrive so including weekends it was about 16 days until I got it. During that time there was a constant battle being waged for supremacy of the bed. Maybe I'm a little jaded but that seems like a long turn around as far as shipping goes. But overall I couldn't be happier with this product and Apollo is happy as well.

This is the most comfortable dog bed I have ever seen. In fact, I like to lie on it and watch TV. The filling is a soft but strong foam that holds it's shae and keeps the dog (oe me!) well padded from the floor. The bolsters around the side are a little firmer but still plenty soft so that they support the dog. The only issue I had with this bed is that it was much larger than we expected. We measured out how big it would be based on the description. but it is a lot bigger. So, unless you have a St Bernard or Mastiff, or multiple dogs, you don't need an extra large. A large would be fine for any lab, collie, shepherd type breed. Overall though, a terrifc product. Our dog loves to curl up on it and rest his head on the "arm-rest".

Great product. I bought this as a gift for a friend's dog. I was glad to hear that his dog liked it so much that he automatically sat on it as soon as it was taken out of the box. I bought the Large because I wasn't sure if the Medium size would fit him. He's about the same size as a German Shepherd, maybe slightly smaller, and the Large size fit him with extra room to spare. It's true what other people are saying about this couch bed, once you have it, your dog will never use your couch again.
A great investment for dog owners. This was purchased at Sleepy Pets, which had the cheapest price and the lowest shipping fee. Pet Smart was charging almost the same price as the bed to ship this item, Incredulous!!
I'm not a pet owner, but knows someone who is and I recommend this product.

This bed is great but the company is HORRIBLE!!! They didn't advise when shipped. After 2 weeks I asked when they were going to ship and they said "Your order will ship tomorrow". They obviously didn't look into the status of my order before sending that response because I got the package the next day, 2 weeks after placing the order. On top of everything they sent wrong color after confirming that they got my color request.

Update: They somehow got this product review removed so I'm reposting it. Yes, the bed is good. But they are deleting negative reviews. Read their company reviews before purchasing.

We have a Black Lab/Great Dane mix and he's huge. We got the extra large size bed and it's the first dog bed that actually fits him. He loves it - especially having the bolster pillow to rest his big head on. My complaint is that the inside bottom cushion is just flimsy egg crate foam...I was expecting an actual pillow. Also, it's great you can remove the covers to wash them but it's a real pain trying to get the foam egg crate bottom back inside the cover. Bottom line - a great bed for a large dog who loves couches - but I wonder how long it will last since the egg crate bottom is flimsy and will tear easily. A good bed but overpriced without a real stuffed bed cushion.

My German Shepherd Ramses is a rescued dog. He spent the last 4 months of his life in cages. He was found as a stray on the street and brought into an animal shelter. Most shelters euthanize older dogs pretty quickly-some within 3 to 7 days. Somehow that shelter could not bring itself to do so. Its not surprising to understand why, when you see him. There is a nobility and sweetness, great intelligence and dignity about this dog that makes everyone want to love him. He was rescued from the shelter by an organization that does stellar work, and they had to keep him there for a good 3 months even though I had seen him mid June and wanted to adopt him. The management, of the apartment complex where I stayed would not allow German shepherds. Instead of giving up the dog I decided to go rent a house.

It took 3 months but I finally found one which had a great large backyard with a fence. When I decided to order stuff for him I wanted the very best in terms of comfort and also for his joints since he is an older dog. This guy has suffered so much trauma, and I want him to have the very best in life for the rest of his life as much as possible-and that includes a lot of love and care. This bed atracted my attention especially when I read the reviews, I also forwarded the information to a scientist dog trainer who approved the material being used to create the bed.

It took a little over 2 weeks to arrive but it has been worth the wait. When we got it yesterday, Ramses took one look at it and went straight to it and sat down. Not just him all the humans in the house wanted to steal the bed-its so comfortable and well made.
I would recommend this over any other bed.

Our dogs love the bed and there is plenty of room for our 110# Rottie to stretch out.
The bed is actually larger than I had envisioned. Our Lab mix and shelty mix can fit on it together.
It did take over 2 weeks to arrive and the Amazon order process did not allow me to choose a color so I got the tan that is the default color.
The bed seems to be constructed well.

Our Australian/German Shepherd loved to hop onto the loveseat until we got this couch-bed. He instantly went to it and laid down and hasn't gotten on the couch since. We've had it about 2 weeks and it was worth every penny. Very nicely made and comfortable (my husband had to test it out). It came vacuum sealed and packaged well. It did take a little while to get here (about 3 weeks) but judging by our dog, it was worth the wait.

This is a good quality bed. We have washed the cover and it came out great. We bought it for our 112 pound Bernese Mountain dog. It is a perfect size for her...but unfortunately she doesn't like it. She still prefers the cold floor. Our two dachshunds like it though...as well as our cats so it wasn't a total waste.

Ordered 8/13/11 and received 8/22/11. I am VERY happy with the quality of the bed! It is exactly what I had hoped for in comfort, quality, durability. It is well worth the money. I have a Doberman, German Shepherd AND an 18 year cat that loves to share this bed with one or the other of the dogs. I do have to say it was larger than I thought (my measurements were off!) but in the end it is perfect for the dog and cat to share! I was only a little worried when the box first arrived as it seemed too small, until I opened it and saw it was "shrink wrapped". I cut it open, removed it and the bed took its shape within seconds, with no problems at all and my dog and cat slept on it the first night!
