This power adapter (bought from Moon Tech) caused the plastic casing around the power port in my HP laptop to melt during the first few days itself. I saw sparks whenever trying to plug or unplug this adapter cable, the laptop wouldn't charge unless this is plugged in at a certain "angle" causing further damage to the power port on the laptop. Stopped using it after a few days and purchased HP OEM adapter at Hp Ac Adapter Laptop Charger for Hp Pavilion;
Stick with OEM, its worth the money!!
