The jacket was very light in weight,but effective against most temps of 35 degrees or so. The jacket is intended to be used as a liner for a sky jacket system. It looks and functions excelently on its own. I would recomend this jacket to anyone looking for an inexpensive down coat.

This jacket was okay but it really wasn't very heavy for a down coat. It was pretty thin. It is okay for chilly temperature but I wouldn't recommend it for skiing or snow sports.

I bought this jacket in order to save money and at the same time have a jacket that is down and warm enough for snowy weather. From the feathers that came out, it is definitely down and with a hooded sweatshirt underneath it is warm enough for snowboarding. I will caution that you get what you pay for, and that it is not on par with name brand jackets, but for the price it meets my needs, thus the 5 star rating.
