Very cool game! I haven't played a lot of racing games, but gave this a shot and I'm glad i did. The graphics do a great job adding to the feeling of speed. I don't like most tilt-to-control games because they don't work all that well but this is very responsive. I wanted to write a review while it's still the FAOTD so i haven't gone through all the tracks to see how the selection is. But it seems like there are different options.

This game is a reminder of my old Arcade day's.. The game is fun and exciting and can get addictive..
One small glitch and it could just my phone: Sometimes the accelerator does not work and the car slows down for no reason..But not a deal breaker..

Fun for all ages..

Tilt controls are good, even a little forgiving. Pretty impressive framerate for background. Smooth play, just haven't found any type of crashing. Contact with other cars like bumper cars. Slowdown is a little much when reach edge of track, just slows too quickly.

All in all fun little racer that does remind me of Outrun but in a good way. Add crashes and maybe it will hit the other star. Simple permissions are a plus too, not everyone cares about facebook postings or leaderboards, nice litte stand alone app! Ready to see an update.

Game play:
There are three levels of difficulty to choose from when you open the game and they are Beginner, Normal and Expert. You can also set the music you want to hear and test it and there are three music themes and you can also select to have no music. In the play mode you can race on the standard course, shuffled course, and time attack. For the courses you can select course A or course B.

The graphics are good and the tilt control works well on the Kindle Fire. You definitely have to pay attention to driving as if you take your eyes off of the screen for an instant you are into the light poles, trees or off the road.

What I like:
The game controls worked well and especially the tilt control for steering. The game is fun and challenging and as you progress through the levels the scenery and road course layout changes. I played the music and it wasn't bad. You get so involved with the racing you really don't even notice it.

What I don't like:
While there are displays along the top of the display you really don't have a clue as to what the road course looks like and I wish it would show you were you are on the course. It is tough coming over a hill and suddenly having to quickly turn and you don't even know the turn is there.

Summary:
This is an excellent road course racing game with good graphics, good sound and fun to play. Some people are complaining about the fact that it is a knockoff of other road race games but heck, how can you design a racing game and not have someone say that. This one is well designed and the app worked smoothly during my testing and I had fun. Isn't that what the app is for!

Jst a big bag of "OK" for me. I like the graphics that are reminiscent of older driving games, and the controls for a touchscreen aren't too bad, considering. But it got old after a while. If you're a fan of older games like Cruisin' USA it might be a worthwhile take-off to play, but it just lacks a little 'something' to make it a compelling long-term game for me.

I LOVE this game.I didn't think my Samsung Galaxy 5 had gyros, it does!! I can't belive how well the steering works just by slight movements of my device!!Graphics are great.3 levels, many tracks.Options for where your controls are on the screen! Its just a racing game.If your looking for a game with a garage to upgrade your tires or engine ect. this is NOT for you.It was free app of the day but it's well worth 99 cents(much more). Can't believe how much time i've spent on this game already LOL!!!Hopefully this is not the "final" freeway!!I want more!!

Like an old Sega Outrun game, you drive a red race car on a road that goes up and over hills, around amazingly tight - yet makeable - turns, avoiding other cars while trying to get to a checkpoint to continue the race before your clock runs out. It's about as good an Outrun clone as I've seen at Amazon or on Play:

*The scenery goes by fast giving a real sense of speed.
*Steering is very easy as you tilt the phone/tablet to steer.
*Acceleration and breaking is easy with on screen virtual buttons.

So why the 3 stars? It's just not that deep. When Outrun came out it was pushing the boundaries of what a game could do with speed and fluidity. Here we have devices that (with emulators) can run games that used to work on "advanced" consoles like N64, PS2 and so on. So with those graphics and processing power you'd expect more.

For instance:
*Cars that you pass only have a sorta 2/3 side/front view so when you see them they look like they are not following the road. They also look like they are doing wheelies on hills.
*You don't have to look at the scenery to drive and steer. You can simply make sure that your car is level while you stare at the road.
*Graphically, you get weird stretches where there are no lanes or where the background has rainbow colored rows of "crops" or something. It makes it look fast, but its unclear what it is we're doing.
*You drive through obsticles on the side of the road (like lamposts).

For a buck, this isn't a bad game at all. But nothing here cries special either. So 3 stars it is. An ok game.
