3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but short of a 1st down., August 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: NFL / Atlanta Falcons 1999 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
No offense to NFL Films, whose videos are always entertaining, but I felt the video could've been longer, could've had more local flavor, and could've had a few more highlights of games, esp. the 2 home games with the 49ers, which I attended. Both had wild and controversial plays, but the tape made no mention of them. Having an eye for detail, I also noticed their cut-away shots of crowds were inaccurate (i.e., a highlight at a road game would follow with a shot of fans at GA Dome). Thankfully, nothing was said about the Eugene Robinson incident. But watching Morten Andersen's kick and hearing Jeff Hullinger scream "The Falcons are going to the Super Bowl!" still brought a tear to the eye of this die-hard fan. Hopefully, their next highlight film will have a happier ending.
