In theory this should be a good way to display a football, but mine arrived with a huge scratch on one side and a major burr on the other, making the case unsuitable for any sort of display (with defects on both sides, I couldn't even "bury" one on a table or wall).

Repeated emails to Comictopia to get a replacement went unreturned. I don't think they even check their email. Their website was similarly unhelpful, with no contact information. I ended up having to file an A-to-Z claim to get my money back.

Buyer beware.

EDIT: 6/9/09: A week after Amazon refunded my money, UPS notices started popping up at my house. Comictopia tried to send me another case. Of course, they didn't CONTACT me first.

I would have told them that a) I had already gone through another seller, making their efforts redundant or b) nobody is home during those hours so don't make me think something random and important is coming so somebody needs to be at my house.

While their heart was in the right place, once again their execution was amateur.

I ended up going through The Card Kid, which delivered a better product promptly in good condition with less shipping cost (at about the same overall price).

It's crystal clear and looks great. There's only about an inch of space above and below the ball so the case fits the ball in a really streamlined way. Don't underestimate the vertical option. Looks really classy and more eye catching than the traditional horizontal look. Surprised it doesn't exactly "snap" shut, though. I wouldn't one-hand it when moving it. Really happy overall. Who wouldn't be w/ a football signed by the whole New Orleans Saints Super Bowl winning team?

I received a commemorative football as a holiday gift and was shocked to see the prices many stores and online retailers wanted for a simple display case. This is a reasonably priced, no frills display case. One of the features I like most about it is that you can display it either vertically or horizontally because of how the football is held in place at the ends rather than on a little pedestal in the center of the case. I had originally wanted one with a mirror in it, but now that I've gotten this one I'm not sure the extra money really wouldn't have been worth it. I received it in under a week from the Amazon retailer and it was packaged very nicely. A two thumbs-up purchase!

friends signed, to give to a friend who is moving away. The
enclosure arrived promptly, packaged very well, and was higher
quality than another brand I purchased several years prior.

I brought this product for my man, and it was worth the money I paid. It doesn't look cheap it is pretty nice looking. His football is signed all over, so that is the reason I purchased this one because you can see the football from all angles. He loves it.

'You get what you pay for' proves true over and over again. This is $20 worth of plastic that looks even cheaper in person than it does on the website. Mine came in with two cracks and the interlocking platic pieces didn't fit properly, so the case didn't seal, which results in your prized football deflating. If you value your football, spend the extra $30-40 and get a good product, ideally from a company other than this one. The fact that someone actually approved this item as 'acceptable' for shipping to a customer tells me to stay away from this company.

When I was able to get my dad's favorite 70's superbowl champs to sign a ball for him, I tried lots of different cube products/brands, but this was the only one that actually didnt fall apart. Dad still has it today!

Pretty good display case for showing off your foot balls in a vertical position. Works out nice if you have more than one side of the football you want to see. Not sure how it would really be in a horizontal position. One star less for no solid latching when closed, so it may open when you move it. On the other hand it's a display case how often are you going to move it.

This is a great lower cost option for displaying your football. I've purchased three of these cases and have been pleased with each one. The plastic case traps the ball so it looks like it is suspended in mid air. It's a quality product that I would recommend.

Price is right, shipped on time for christmas, and was a nice little case. It is a simple case to showcase the football with all the autograghs and that is what I wanted.
