NFL blitz is an amazing game where the players talk, and some of the moves you can do follows: choke slam, kick, body slam, literally HEAVE the player across the field, and just grind them up till they're as FLAT as humans can get! This game also is fun just to play (somewhat strange) football. This game is #1 on my list, and EVERYBODY LOVES IT!

This is an awesome game. No rules, anything goes... it's the game for all you guys that like to pass interfere, rough the passer, fasemask, etc. Everything's more competitive than the first. With the multiplayer...you gotta be really good at corresponding with your teammate or else you guys will miss up all your plays. This game uses the same codes as the first one. I strongly recommend it for all football lovers.

Every player is huge! The kicker looks like a profetional wrestler. I like the Patriots and I know that Adam Vineterri isn't as big as they make him look in the game.

Graphics: Camera options are limited, but when there's a hit you know it. Midway did a good job of making the ball flying out of people's hands and the touchdown celebrations.

Play Controll: You're better off leaving the controller settings to default because if you screw it up, you'll never fix them back. The master controlls are fairly simple: A passes, B jumps and tacles, and Z is turbo. It's that simple!

Game Design: The options are endless, not really. It's just basic season, arcade, and play editor. No create player or anything. But the game is done rather well, although the accuracy meter for feild goals are rather unfair.

Sound: Bone crunching sound effects and crude comments from the players and announcers are basicly the extent of the sound. The music is fair and crowd sound effects are hard to hear.

Comments: Blitz 2000 is nothing like a simulation game. There are no fouls and no limits. Besides lack of options, Blitz 200 is a touchdown.

ESRB Rating: E containing Animated Violence and mild language. The violence are the brutal hits and the mild language are taunts and crude comments.

It is very fun like the original blitz. But it has better features like up to 4 players can play and its graphics are much better. It also has more plays than the original blitz.

This game is great if you are playing with friends. It isn't too comlicated, and you have fun codes to plug in. However, if you're playing against the computer, it gets totally unfair advantages. Anytime it drives the ball down and fails to score, it will get an interception sometime on your next possesion. Also, in the last bit of time in the game (20 seconds to 1 minute or so), whoever is down will get unfair advantages, like all of a sudden getting an 80 yard return when all game their special teams have stunk. Or you all of a sudden throw interceptions or fumble when you haven't all game. Other than that, though, it's fun, especially if you play with other friends.

I loved the game, but there is something that always manages to tick me off. Sometimes you'll be murdering the opposing team with great plays and good strategy, when suddenly the other team manages to come back and beat you at the last second. But other than that it is the most awesome football game and I still give it 5 stars. As of this date I haven't played Blitz 2001 but until I do, this one takes the trophy. Consider putting this one in your collection. Not to mention, its very cheap now that 2001 is out...

A nice change of pace from Madden 2000 (which is a great game) This one is fast paced and brutal. Great fun especially if you want to play a game but don't have the time for a full game of Madden.

I have to admit, this game is very fun to play with a friend, but soon gets boring. The gameplay lacks depth, and the taunts, although entertaining at first, soon become repetitive and lose their touch. I have played the first Blitz and there is almost no difference except for a new box. I recommend renting this game only, not buying.

Blitz 2000 is an in-your-face, intense football game which allows the player to go through a football season, create his or her own plays, and use "cheat codes" to experience the "extreme NFL package" which the presence of referees prohibits. For a football fanatic, the game provides a multitude of plays on both offense and defense, from sideline runs to fourth-and-forever bombs, and from goal line stances to deep zones. Even with only seven players on each side of the field, Blitz 2000 is as realistic as any of the Madden games, plus the added fun bonus of seeing the players beat each other up. Blitz 2000 is one of the best games available on Nintendo 64, and passing it up is just a major missed opportunity in my book.

Blitz 2000 is the same , hard hitting football game as the origional, without much of a change. Blitz 2000 offers an excellent level of fun, and manages to throw in good sound and graphics. A good party game with the new 4 player mode, but still has many setbacks. If you own the origional,don't bother with Blitz 2K, but if you don't, consider buying it, but rent it first.
