Wham, Slam, in your face football game that puts all other games to shame. With audible bone crunching hits, the chance to set up your own plays, and fast paced gameplay, this latest installment in the NFL Blitz series will truly please all your senses and make you feel as part of the game. If you like no rules football or even football with rules you will truly love this game.

My husband and I are overseas in the military,and it seems that all we ever so at night is play board, and video games with friends. Even though Blitz 2000 is only a game I often find that I am drawn to watching them play, just like a real football game. My husband and his friends also let out all of the usual yells, screams and roars as though they are watching thier favorite teams battle it out! We are not a bunch of nerds, just your average 20 something year olds, held in doors due to a ton of rain here.. From what I have seen and heard Blitz 2000 is far supperior to the last, and just as good,if not even better than the arcade version '99. 4 person play, unlimited turbo speed and strength when you catch on fire,and create-a-play make it the best Blitz yet. And best of all beating everyone due to the fact that we were the only ones that went stateside for summer and were able to purchase this incredibally fun game first. We highly reccomend this purchase for your home video game consule.

Well, first off, this game is NOT for someone who wants a realistic footbal sim. For everyone else who just wants to play the most fun football ever, get this game. First is the pure rush you get. Without the "stats" that limit playes in football sims, this game everyone is pretty equal, even though some teams are better than others. I mean, you can have a crazy play where the QB latterals the ball to some other random guy who then makes a 30 yard pass for a first down. Also, after the play beating the carp outta your opponent never gets old. This game is much more exciting than "realistic football sim where you hike the ball and your QB makes a little 2 yard pass. THis is pure addrenaline. Also, you can massacre the offense when you're on defense with crazy suicide blitzes. Not only do you have the games cool plays, but you can make your own really crazy plays too. If you're worried about this game being to easy, it isn't. It will take you a while to beat all the teams in a season. A long while. And after that, the two player mode rocks too. And as a tiny bonus, the codes are cool too. So if you want a super fun addrenaline rush and not a boring realistic sim, then get this game. Just get it

this is by far the best football game to date. the graphics rock and the hitting is superb. a must have for all football fans

This game is great it you like hard hiting foot ball. Nfl blitz is a cross between wwf and footbal alot of the time the computer can be chep when your playing it but it is great for multiplayer you can make you own off. plays and def. play unfortunetly this game takes up alot of meaory card spacce but othere then that i tataly think yosshould by this game.

It's the worst game in the world is because when you're in the lead like 35 to 14 in the 4th quarter the computer makes a come back from intercepting and fumbling from me.It gets very fustrating if you play it!

its fun crunching people and trash talking after they hit them.i love the fast gameplay too.this game has awesome features as well as graphics.

My friends and I are hardcore Blitz players. Recently, we decided it was time to kick the tires on Blitz 2000 and Blitz2001, so we rented them both.

First off, blitz 2001 stinks. Don't buy it, don't rent it. It's a totally different, and totally awful, game.

Now, as for Blitz 2000, which this review is about.."EXCELLENT" !

It's a very nice update to Blitz. Faster gameplay, smoother gameplay, and a little more realism has been added, without sacrificing the insanity that is the Blitz series.

It's nice to see additional plays for the offense. I wish defense had more though.

Also, Turbo Hits are actually useful now as you can knock the ball out of a runner/receiver's hands for the fumble. Interceptions are a bit more realistic, as are the pass patterns.

Buy it !

This game is not a nice arcade style Sim game at all. What I do like about the Blitz football games though is its ease of gameplay for most players. Anyone can pick this little game up and play it for a while. It to me makes a nice two player game. Pull it out when you got a few pals over your place and it makes for a good bit of fun. Dont try Blitz however if you are looking for a game to keep realistic seasons and stats, try Gameday if you are in that Market instead.

NFL Blitz is a fun but there is one problem which is interceptions.I think it might be if there wern't so many.Other than that it's quite a fun game.You definetly want to get this.
