Doesn't seem finished,

I got this game over Advance Wars because i liked Blitz for the N64. Big mistake.First of all, this game has no backround music, which drains some life out of it. However, the anouncer's voice is nicely generated, which is a plus. On the graphics side, they are good, but they are not the best the GBA can do, and it looks like midway hurried to finish them. This game also has a number of bugs. For example, somtimes when you tackile the opposing team, they stop, but it still shows them running. To add to the bad list, the framerate is VERY choppy, which also brings down the score. The good thing about this game? There are LOADS of options. Each teams has its own unique playbook and jersey color. You can reverse plays and move the camera in live action, and snap the ball even after 30 sec. However, there is no multiplayer, which also hurts. Those who want the classic bone-crunching hit gameplay of Blitz won't find it here. This is more like Madden for PSX. All in all, im returning this right away. If they spent another month on it, it would have been at least woth a four.

Blitz-ing fUn!! 2002 style!!,

This game rocks. I don't understand what all the hype is about this game being so terrible. I am a real hardcore gamer. This game is awesome. It follows in the style of NFL Blitz, NFL Blitz 2000, and NFL Blitz 2001. Although there is no background music or multiplayer, it has great graphics and gameplay. I love this game. The game has a 3 modes: Exhibiton, Season and Mini Games. The Exhibition mode, like in the other games allows you to play as any of your favorite teams, and against any team of your choice or you can just let the computer pick your opponent. Also there is the codes that you press in before the game that boost your gameplay up (unlimited turbo, night game, ect.). Season Mode, as with any other sports game, takes you through the real season, on your way to the championship game. You can be any team. Mini Games fetures 4 sections: Rules, Playbook, Practice, and Trivia. Rules gives you tips and hints to improve your game. Playbook gives you a look at all the plays that each team has. Practice features 2 modes: Uprights, which gives you feild goal practice, and 4th-N-Goal, which is a way practice all your favorite plays, in a 50 yard line, forth and goal situation (I really like this mode). Trivia is a game that test you NFL knowledge in a series of 4 rounds with 3 questions. This game features 3 difficulty levels, easy medium and hard. You can have three time setting: 1, 2, or 3 minutes a quarter. You can also set if you want the time to elapse NORMAL or FAST speeds. One bad thing is that the AI isn't very smart, and as Bill Cosby said, they have "brain damage"... Over all, this game is awesome. It isn't the best, but is very good. If you want no rules great football fun, buy this game.

MADDEN 2000 for GBC = [no fun] big timeNFL Blitz for GBA = see above It seems like decent football games are impossible to produce for Gameboy. The size of the screen & controls combined with the game's slowness make it very difficult to generate any real excitement. Sure, its a handheld game, but if they can't at least do a decent job, make a different game.

No matter who you play, they run only three plays. There is NO challenge, your opponent NEVER adjusts to your play calling. I won the superbowl and was only scored on ONE TIME in the whole season. I used only three offensive plays, and three defensive plays. This is the WORST football game I have ever played for ANY system. Blitz for the 64 is AWESOME, this is NOT the NFL BLITZ you have come to love!

DON'T BUY THIS!,

I bought this game without having read any reviews, purely wanting a NFL game for my GBA. What a mistake. The game is terrible. The graphics are, at best, ok, and the sound is good. But the game is terribly buggy. While you're playing, the field will all of a sudden turn all funky colors. Or guys will just disappear. I have no idea how this got the Nintendo "seal of quality". Did anyone at Nintendo bother playing the game? Anyways, another problem is that the game is really easy. My first game I was able to beat the hardest computer difficulty settings. You can win every game using any defensive play, and throwing hail maries at every offensive opportunity. In fact, every hail mary I threw went for a touchdown. The game isn't any fun, it's just purely a waste of money. So, please, just don't buy it.

I was lucky to buy this game [at another store]. However when i played it, I was very unhappy. The graphics are one of the worst i have ever seen. It looks like they could have made this game better for the GBC. I am not kidding around. As an honest player, if you really want this game, PLEASE rent it first, don't waste your money. The only thing that makes it sort of worth it is that it has many features like mini games. Just remember that i warned you!

This is actually worth zero stars, because this game from Nintendo is just UNACCEPTABLE!I was extremely disappointed with the limited graphics for NFL Blitz 2002 for Game Boy Advanced, and surprised as well. I wish I had bought something else. First of all, there is no cool graphics, unlike the arcade version. The sound is more like 8-bit graphics, rather than 32-bit graphics. (See the game pack yourself before buying it, to see how cheap this game really is!) What is this, the 1970s? I found myself trying to have fun with this game, but it's never going to happen. Don't make the same mistake I did. Spend your [money] on Sonic Adventure or Super Mario Advance, or something descent for Game Boy Advance. If you want REAL animation and fascinating graphics and cool sound that will grab you into the game, NFL Blitz 2002 for Game Boy Advance is not the game for you.

BOOOOOOOO,

I personaly dislike this game. I thought the graphics would At LEAST be as good as Tony Hawk graphic wise. I also was hoping for some hard hitting like backflips and stuff (like the N64 kind). Sometimes in the game you tackle someone and the whistle blows and the guy you tackled just moves up the screen and they get it there. At first I thought it was a penelty, but then I remebered it's Blitz there are no penalties. So if you want to buy a Blitz for GBA wait for 2003. I hope that NFL Blitz 2003 will do better MUCH better.
