A New Breed
The 1998 Bengals were an NFL enigma. They won only three games, but continued to take the league's top teams down to the wire. The Bengals nearly upset both the Packers and the Super Bowl champion Broncos. They also swept division-rival Pittsburgh for the first time in almost a decade.
A New Breed takes an in-depth look at the 1998 season, and the Bengals' players who will lead the franchise into the 21st Century. Among those featured is 1,000-yard rusher Corey Dillon, as well as rookie linebackers Takeo Spikes and Brian Simmons.
Also included is a tribute to former Bengal offensive tackle Anthony Muñoz, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August of '98. This crowning achievement marks the end of an era, and the start of A New Breed of Bengal football.
