4.0 out of 5 stars Its Good Enough!!!
If you buy football games for the Franchise mode, this game isn't for you. NFL QB Club 2002 does have alot to offer for the football gamers though. There are things that you can do in this game that you can't do in Madden 2002. First of all. There is the QB challenge. Thats a game inside the game. Kind of a bonus.

Next its the continous seasons. The only way...

1.0 out of 5 stars this is pathetic!
this is the most stupid game i have ever played. at the start of an exhibition game the color comentator always says i think this is going to be a low scoring game. the peoples head's are huge and the move so slow. even mike vick is slow. the qb chalange is so hard ive never one. if i could rate this 0 stars i would.

The only way you can play continous seasons in Madden 2002 is in franchise mode. In QB Club 2002 you can play continous seasons which include preseason games. In the season mode you can put Legendary QB's like Jim Kelly, Steve Young, and John Elway back on their original teams and use them in continous seasons without having to worry about them retiring after a few seasons like they would in Madden 2002.

Another thing in QB Club 2002 is the stats tracking. You can overtake Walter Paytons rushing record. And actually see that in a special statistics section.

The gameplay is also good. Players cut on a dime. And you can juke players using the control pad or the analog stick. Like in the old Tecmo Bowl games. In Madden 2002 players feel like they are ice skating. (momentum) Not the case in QB Club.

There are also some great animations. The WR's plant their feet on the sidelines and stretch out for a passes. I haven't seen that in any Madden game. At least not as good.

This game may not be better than Madden, but it is a good change up!!! Don't let the lack of a Franchise mode scare you away from this game. There are multiple seasons with different schedules and preseason. Which kind of makes up for the lack of a Franchise mode. At least its not one season and out. Like Maddens season mode.

If your an old school gamer. I would advise using the classic QB's in season mode for more excitement. They include names like, Marino, Young, Elway, Kelly, Aikman, and Warren Moon. Of course you have to unlock them first. Thats not a problem though.

If you like to play football games this is not the one to get. The graphics are slow and are 8-bit nintendo like. The QB Challenge is the best part but that will get old after a while i will have to say that even though it is the cheapest football game for 2002 it is the worst go with Madden 2002.

this game is horrible.

Pros:
None

Cons:
horrible gameplay and junky graphics.
players heads are huge.
freezes all the time.
commentary is so anoying and repeats its self all the time. Like in the begining of an exhibithion game the color commentator always says " i think this is gona be a low scoring game." don't waste your money on this horrible game.

This game is not Madden 2002, but it does have its moments. It does continue the QBC series of which I liked 99, and thought 2001 was a decent game. Running the offense is fine, but the defense is horrible (both your team and the computer). I had a hard time stopping the Bears with the Ravens defense for example. The extra quarterback club challege game is a fun diversion. If you liked prior QBC's check out this game, otherwise try Madden or Sega's 2k2.

[...]Qb Club is sorta bad,the game is not all bad,i say rent first, the game seem kinda slow.but the controls are indeed easier,on qb club 2001 it was hard to run the ball on the 64 version, but this one i can break a 80 yarder on this game, the Graphics are kinda good upclose, but when you are playing the game kinda looks like a madden on sega Genesis. The Qb challenge is cool, the longest throw, hitting the bulleyes with a pass, the controls are the same as gameday,i give it 3 stars

i dont know why everyone says its a bad game. This is one of the best football games i have played. Unlike all the other football games this one has a challenge. It has awsome graphics and realistice plays. It is hard to break a huge run unlike madden or gameday where you can makee 99 yard td's easliy. The actually qb challenge itself is really fun cause of all the different challenges. This is a game worth buying unless u like all of the borning non challenging games.

3.0 out of 5 stars Solid Game Play, January 29, 2002
By

This review is from: NFL QB Club 2002 (Video Game)
Overall, this game is good... Graphics are good althought the player action and moves on Madden are more realistic... But the Stadiums and spectators are more realistic in QB Club... When it comes to play, this is an offense driven game... If you have a reasonably good handle to offensive play calling, you will beat any defense thrown at you... Teh scores can get pretty high in this game on the "Rookie" setting, and more realistic in the other settings... My only complaint with the game seems to be bugs in the anouncers and overall commentating... I have had Issac Bruce catch a ball and run it for a touch-dwon, only to have the announcer say it was a different player from a totally different team... It doesn't change the game play, but it is a bit annoying and stupid.

Now that this game is marked down ... in most places, it is worth the $$$ for the level of game play offered.
