5.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed it.
I definitely recommend that you purchase the expansion pak before playing. This takes care of any "slow-motion" play, and with the number of games coming out that recommend it, I would advise that you get it anyway. As far as game play, I really enjoyed it. Fun = 3/5

Graphics = 3/5

Gameplay = 3/5

Speed of the game = VERY BAD - 1/5

This takes care of any "slow-motion" play, and with the number of games coming out that recommend it, I would advise that you get it anyway. As far as game play, I really enjoyed it. Yes, it takes some time to figure out the "catching" timing, but in the end, it is a really cool feature. I recommend that you spend some time in the practice mode without any defense. Also, I read a comment regarding that players "juke" on their own. I had total control over the runner, so perhaps he was playing in a different mode or something. Overall, I thought it was a great game. It does take a little time to learn, but that's what kept it interesting for me.

This game was designed for use with the memory expansion pak. You know that cover on the top of your N64 that says, "Memory Pak," with the new expansion pak, this game is just as fast as 98 was. This game probably would not be any fun without the expansion pak, so anyone that's shopping and doesn't yet have an expansion pak, it would be a great idea to look into one.

I own QBC '98 & '99 and recently played QBC '00. I was very disappointed with the gameplay. The graphics were alright but it was almost like they were playing in slow motion. I highly do not reccommend this game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Game, December 29, 1999

This christmas I played both Madden 2000 and NFL Quarterback Club 2000 ("QB2000"). QB2000 has got to be the WORST football game ever made for ANY system.

I have been playing video games and football games since Tecmo Bowl for the nintendo and I can tell you that I couldn't complete a pass to save my soul in QB2000. You have to throw the ball and than hit a "catch" button. The problem is that you can't tell when to push the catch button.

The running game was terrible. Once your opponent realizes that you can't complete a pass, he basically calls run defenses which just shut your ball carriers down.

I will give QB2000 credit for great graphics, but I don't like the fact that when you a running, you player is making cuts and jukes WITHOUT you controlling it. In Madden 2000 you decide to juke or cut, not the computer.

Field goals and extra points were also extremely difficult to master.

Even with my prior gaming experience with football games, I just couldn't master this game and quickly lost interest.

If you are looking for a easy, yet realistic football game, look no further than Madden 2000 and DON'T Buy this game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it!, December 18, 1999

The game is terrible. It's all style with no substance. It is IMPOSSIBLE to complete a pass. In practice mode, I tried 50 passes. I completed 3. The idiot programmers made you have to press a "catch" button. The thing is, with your angle, you can't at all tell when to press it. And you can't just hold the button down. The refs don't call any penalties. The running game is as illogical. If you keep pressing the hurdle and stiff-arm buttons, you can almost always get better-than-realistic gains. The controls are terrible, the instructions make no sense, and QBC '99 was mediocre, but still 200x more fun. They play this off as a sim, but all it is is a SLOW game with the only possible course of action being running the ball (I'm serious about the passing thing. I tried for 3 hours, it's impossible to get the timing down). Get Madden2K instead. I'm glad I just rented this game instead of buying it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best football game on the market., November 14, 1999

This game has the best graphics, the best control, the best create player/team option, steep learning curve for the pass but once you learn how to execute the pass, it can be one of the most successful keys to victory. It has all of the teams including Cleveland. The half-time show consists of about 30 cheerleaders that stand and cheer in formations that spell the home teams name. This can be extremely boring especially if the home team's name is long like the Panthers. Another cool aspect of the game is that Barry Sanders is still on the Detroit roster. The only drawback is the fact that it can be frustraitingly difficult to get the players that you want to play to play when you want them to. Lets say you're recruiting guys for your team. You want four recievers. You choose Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Isaac Bruce and Herman Moore. The computer will automatically put in these recievers for a three man line up: Jerry Rice, Herman Moore and Isaac Bruce. This is ironic because the only player with better stats that Moss is Jerry Rice. It can be a pain to get Moss in on every play even though he is the second best out of those four. All that aside, there's no better game for football yet created. Simply put, it's the best football game on the maket.

The graphics are the coolest.Although they dont compare to the Dreamcast, THEY ARE AWESOME. The little details are awesome too...nose breathers, finger tape, elbow pads, and eye black add to the awesome crunching fun of N64 football.

1.0 out of 5 stars NFL QBC 2000- THE WORST FOOTBALL GAME EVER MADE!, January 13, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: NFL Quarterback Club 2000 (Game Cartridge)
When I play this game, I can tell you five words- DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! This was officially the worst sports game ever! First of all, HOW DO YOU DO ANYTHING! The controls are equivialent to rocket science, and it's impossible to throw to the right person, catch, or call a play. Don't be fooled by all the features. You can't do anything with them, or use them. This has terrible animation, and framerate. This is THE WORST SPORTS GAME EVER MADE. Buy blitz instead.

I played the NFL Quarterback Club 2000 thinking it was going to be better than NFL Quarterback Club, but I was wrong. I have to agree that the game is slow! This game has slow-motion game play.
