3.0 out of 5 stars not that good
I have played this game for a long time. In the own the street campaign you can do everything, but when they ask you to pick a player from the other team of a pickup game you have no idea what their stats are. So you just have to hope their good or you will be forced to get a medeorcre player for an outstanding one. This games songs are also always repeating you might play...

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best sports games ever!!!, March 30, 2005

Let me begin by saying that I'm not a big fan of sport video games, but this whole Street sport series is awesome. I haven't been able to put this game down since I started playing with it. The player development is very good, and the game becomes very challenging after a while. I have but one complaint: The fact that the player cannot review the stats for incomming players to the team until after you've chosen to add a the player to the team, and when you chose, you can't go back on your decision. Other than that, this games ROCKS!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars For Kids or Not?, November 9, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: NFL Street 2 (Video Game)
NFL blitz is alive and well on the PSP. Only this time it is called NFL Street 2, and it is a little fancier. First the ugly: this game takes 15 hours to load each game. Not really, but that is what it feels like when you just want to play a quick game. The other ugly thing is that it seems a bit difficult to remember what all of the buttons do. So, though it is fun to do a crazy pitch to the running back or a behind the back throw to a receiver 50 yards away, you can never remember that you now have to control the running back or the receiver with a whole new set of controls. This is seen as a positive thing by many that believe the more complex the game, the more shelf life it will have in a collection. Now, the ugly said, this game is fun enough to last forever in your game collection. Does football ever get old? Then a game that is football on steroids done pretty darn well should not either. Finally, the mini-games are worth mentioning with games of smear the queer and 500 that are just loads of fun. There are a couple of others, but the two mentioned are the only games worth much.

Bottom Line: Is it fun? Get this fun football game. Will I keep it? yep. Is it for kids? Too many buttons.

This is one of the best sports games I have ever played. There are great graphics and tons to do. I really like the shops where you can buy stuff for your character. The only problem I found was that there wasn't enough music tracks. You kinda notice that after you pley for 3 hours straight!

This game is awesome! I loved it when I owned a used copy of it before, and I love it now that I play my Gamecube again. The music is hot, the players are fun and I love the graphics and animations. The game is easy to grasp, but the gameplay requires changes of strategy and updating your players to really get the most out of it. I love the Own the City mode and have played it as a couple of different created players. Overall, the game is a nice twist on your average football game, and I love the controls of the Gamecube for football so much more than the Wii that I went out and bought myself a used Gamecube to get back to playing football the way that I enjoyed it. This game is fun, easy to learn, and hours of great gameplay that is never the same and never dull.

This game is outrageous. It is awesome, plus when you can jump off walls, that is cool also. I love how you can do behind the back passes with the quarterback. I think the music is raw. The ways to create a player is out of this world. I know that you think I'm crazy to say all these things but I'm telling you solid truth. I think it is for all ages. And if you buy this, it is totally awesome!!! It is nothing like the first one. Much better than the first one. See, could you pull off all those moves in the first one. Could you jump off wall like Bruce lee. I don't think so.

4.0 out of 5 stars Blitz Mania, May 29, 2005
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: NFL Street 2 (Video Game)
Since the 1990's, Midway has been the one surprising dominant company with fantasy football games. With the status of NFL Blitz in the arcades, it brought a whole new meaning to the terms touchdown, by bringing out outrageous fantasy stadiums, and moves you couldn't make in real football. Yet, since then many companies have tried to make fantasy football comeback to life. Well, EA Sports, the makers of the NBA Street games have done that very well with the status of bringing football to the streets. They did it quite well with the NFL Street game, and the sequel which just came out has gotten better than before.

NFL Street 2 for the Nintendo Gamecube, works just as well as the status of the previous game. The game consists of 10 crazy football courts and 2 hidden ones to unlock, where tackles are just a welcoming party. Of course, you can play regular football, or any amount of mini games like 4 on 4, sudden death touchdown, and others as well. You can also take it to the streets by perfecting your skills, and creating a wild and outrageous football team of your own. The game includes some great unlockables, as well as some excellent hidden teams like NFL Legends and others.

The graphics are amazing and the feeling of the game is just spectacular. The songs here fall into place just like the previous Street games, by featuring complements of Rap & Hip Hop as a dominant domain for music. The control is also very easy to adapt to, when you've mastered several moves, and pick-ups that teach you how to win at the game, but for those who've played the previous NFL Street game, or any other fantasy football game might feel that this is second nature.

All in all, NFL Street 2 is a spectactular football game for all pigskin players alike. This is surely a great game if you're playing with others, and fair by yourself. This is definitely a great game, and one of the best sports games for the Nintendo Gamecube.
