5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game! A LOT Better Than The First! Worth The Money!
This is a great game. Fans of the first NFL Street will love this game. There are so many new game modes and features and the online play is a lot of fun (dial-up or broadband/dsl) (Online play works surprisingly well on dial-up for PS2).

You guys I'm not saying this game is horible but I bought it the day it came out. The problem was I expecteid to see these steriod buff Ray Lewis football players breaking tackles all day long. Instead you get these smaller (Thank God) football players that play more realistic. This was a very positive and very frustating at the same time.

This is a great game. Fans of the first NFL Street will love this game. There are so many new game modes and features and the online play is a lot of fun (dial-up or broadband/dsl) (Online play works surprisingly well on dial-up for PS2).
The game modes include:

Own the City (You create a guy and gain team members by playing pick up games. If you beat this mode, you can use your guy in NFL Challenge and in Madden 2006).

NFL Challenge (This is like how the first game was. You have 150 days to make your team the best it can be by getting ability points from completing challenges. You can also add real NFL players on your team. You can use your created team online to battle other peoples online teams. Also, I think you earn points to make your players better if you win online).

NFL Gauntlet (You pick a NFL team and battle all the other NFL teams. I'm sure you unlock things as you go through each team).

Pickup Game (This is the old game where you pick players from NFL teams and have an exhibition match with the CPU or with some friends).

Street Events (These are mini games which you can play with the CPU or with friends. Some include include:

Crush the Carrier [You grab the ball and get as much points as you can get until you get tackled and the ball goes up for grabs. Whoever has the most points at the end of time limit wins]

A "500" type game [CPUs throw passes awhile a group of people try to catch the balls. Whoever has the most points at the end of the time limit wins].

Open Field Showdown [You go one-on-one against a CPU or player in a field from like the 20 or 25 yard line. You try to fake-out your opponent and score a touchdown].

There are also many other mini games available but they are like playing a normal pickup game.

New to this game is wall jumps. You can go by the wall and do a wall jump, wall juke, wall pass, or wall catch to get rid of the defense and get those extra yards. Also if you do a wall move on a poster, you get extra points and your gamebreaker meter (the ability to get your guy powered up to make a huge play) will fill up by about a third.

This game has endless possibilities. You can create a guy, create a team, play a lot of people online, play against a friend or against friends, and a lot more. This football game is a break from traditional football games like Madden 2005. Madden is still a great game but its cool in this game because you can jump off the walls and just break free from all the rules and slow-paced action of traditional football games (Madden 2005, ESPN 2K5). This game reminds me a lot of the Blitz series. I would say this is the best football game out there now. And if it was between NFL Street 2 and NBA Street V3, I would say this game. This is probably one of the top ten games out there.

Also, this game has a great soundtrack featuring a lot of rap/hip-hop and punk/rock/alternative. This is not one boring song on the soundtrack and since there are a lot of songs, it doesn't get repetitive.

5.0 out of 5 stars NFL Street 2 is not just for the street anymore, February 2, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

When you pick this game up in a store or look at it on the internet you have a good chance at falling in love with it. The rap in the game helps make it feel more like an urban style game. I think it is cool how Xzhibit is in the game. Also there are a ton of unlockabales in this game. One unlockable is team Xzhibit and the NFL Legends. You can also play as the NFC and AFC division allstars in this. It is great if you ask me. If you pick up one game this month pick up NFL Street 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!, March 14, 2005
This review is from: NFL Street 2 (Video Game)
I was a little sceptical about this game when it came out. I'm really really really glad I got it. Talkabout a great improvement on NFL Street! I love the wall moves, they rock! Not to crazy about the Own the City mode where you can only customize one player.

Great game!

Now this is were all the extras come in handy. All the etras are really fun and addictive but you must hove friends to realy enjoy the mini games. So basiclly you hawve Nfl Street with mini games, a couple of story modes (sort of), an incredable customization system, Xzibt, and new wall moves and you have NFL Street 2.

So this game is pretty sweet with lots of replay value. But I feel EA games is getting sloppy and is doing exactly what Lucisarts did with Star Wars. Over all 4.5 out of 5.0

5.0 out of 5 stars For Kids or NOt?, November 9, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: NFL Street 2 (Video Game)
NFL blitz is alive and well on the PSP. Only this time it is called NFL Street 2, and it is a little fancier. First the ugly: this game takes 15 hours to load each game. Not really, but that is what it feels like when you just want to play a quick game. The other ugly thing is that it seems a bit difficult to remember what all of the buttons do. So, though it is fun to do a crazy pitch to the running back or a behind the back throw to a receiver 50 yards away, you can never remember that you now have to control the running back or the receiver with a whole new set of controls. This is seen as a positive thing by many that believe the more complex the game, the more shelf life it will have in a collection. Now, the ugly said, this game is fun enough to last forever in your game collection. Does football ever get old? Then a game that is football on steroids done pretty darn well should not either. Finally, the mini-games are worth mentioning with games of smear the queer and 500 that are just loads of fun. There are a couple of others, but the two mentioned are the only games worth much.

Bottom Line: Is it fun? Get this fun football game. Will I keep it? yep. Is it for kids? Too many buttons.

i bought this game for my son, he had it before and played it so much he broke (actually broke, like cracked) the game, so we ordered this one to replace it. he asked every single day if it had come in the mail yet. we gave it to him for christmas. he loves it so much, because you play for "style points". he plays it all the time. he's 12.

I THOUGHT NFL STREET 1 HAS BETTER GRAPHICS. IT SEEMED LIKED THEY CRAMMED TOO MUCH ART INTO THE GAME. I HAVE A 60INCH TV AND KIND OF GOTTA STRAIN MY EYES TO NOTICE THE EXTRA DETAIL.
