First off, I would like to point out that although this game was deveoloped by the same people that made the street series, it is in no way the same. I know I loved playing the Street series becuase of many things, some of them were the depth of the games, the background music throughout the gameplay, the wall moves, and I just thought they were overall fun games to play. NFL Tour is not anything like this.


I will admit it is somewhat enjoyable the first two hours or so of gameplay. The annoncing is kind of cool with his shouts of "Pwned" and "The Bears were who we thought they were", and "Don't you get tired of video game announcers that say the same thing over and over?". Some of his announcing is funny, although it gets annoying after hearing the same things over and over, especially when he is doing what he talks about (Saying the same thing over and over).

Another thing I didn't like about this game is it has no depth at all. I know Street 2 and 3 had tons of things to do and it made the game a much better value and so much more enjoyable. This game is nowhere near that. It has one game mode where all you do is play the NFL different ways such as first to 24 and timed games. The amount of depth was really disappointing compared to the older Street series.

Don't even get me started on the defense. Defense plays no role in this game at all. I'm convinced that when you are on defense, it's impossible to tackle the computer with the first guy. It always takes at least two. It get's really annoying when no defense is involved at all, at it's just a scoring fest.

Another thing that screwed this game over was the "simplified controls" I don't want a game where on offense you really only need one or two buttons. It makes it that much harder for the computer to know what your doing when A controls 2 or 3 different things depending on the situation. It really gets annoying.

On the Pros side this game is a fun game to pick up and play for a while. If you are getting this based on NFL Street, you will be highly disappointed. Casual gamers will probably get bored with this game within two or three weeks. I don't totaly hate this game, But it has a lot of faults and was not up to the NFL Street standards. Also, the achievements are pretty easy as I picked up 450 within my first day of gameplay. I guess I would suggest this game to anyone who is looking for easy gamerscore, as most of the achievements on the game are not very challenging, although they may look it.

All-in-all, I'd have to give this game about a 6 out of 10. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you are a die-hard Street fan. And even then, you might be a little disappointed. I would suggest renting it for a week, and then you will probably be done with it for ever.

This game basically took The Street series and completely trashed it. It has a very weak story line and no online play. The announcer is so annoying and repetitve, that you want to just turn the console off. There is some fun to be had in the mini games, and some easy achievements. With that said, this is a very poor game with no real value.

I got this game expecting an NFL Street like experience but the single player isnt nearly as fun and the game as a whole isnt in depth at all. But there is alot of fun to be had with this game if you play with friends.

Graphics
This game will not make anybody say "WOW" but it is servicble in the graphics department. The player faces that were great in the street series aren't nearly as detailed or as accurate in this game. Some player faces look great while others look completly different from their real life counterparts.

Audio
Trey Wingo is the play by play and color commentator. He is annoying to say the least. He will sya random stupid things that are supposed to be funny. It has gotten to the point where we laugh just cause its so rediculus. When the player makes a big tackle the bass is pretty solid and the overall sound effects are good.

Gameplay
I enjoy realistic sports game with good realistic controls and accurate depictions of the sport. That wont be found in nfl tour since you use basically 3 buttons on offense and two on defense. It is easy to pick up and play and makes football fun and enjoyable for everyone.

Game Modes
There are a few game modes of note.
1. Exhibtion/PlayNow. These are single games in which you can vary the settings and scoring. My favorite is making touchdowns worth six, conversions 1 or 2 but then have broken tackles, reversals, ints, fumbles, sacks all worth a certain amount of points.

The Main mode is Tour Mode. it is kind of cool at first but gets repetive as you realize how to beat the Comp. every time. Blitz your LB and hope for a sack or an errant throw. It has you create a player and thats it. No player development, zero custimazation of your team. Jutst pick the player, pick the team and playe the rest of the teams.

There are two mini-game style modes Smash and Dash and Redzone Rush. Both are ok the first few plays through but niether are anything game changing.

Multiplayer- It is alot of fun when you and a friend get together and play a custom style fantasy game. I havent played the single player mode in this game since I first got it. But me and my buddy have been oding the multiplayer since the day I got it. I guess my forty bucks was well spent in the sense that while noit a great game I got my fun out of it and still do.

And to people who said defense is non existent, I dont agree. My friend is crazy at blitzing and pressures the qb great and I hover my LB in the secondary and wait to get picks.

when I first saw this game, I was like this game looks cool, but I realized it wasn't as fun as the NFL Street series. first, all the players don't look real to their counterparts. Trey Wing is repetetive and boring, some might find is commentary kinda funny. Second, evading is just useless the player literally moves like an inch. Finally, the gamebreaker don't even work sometimes, and you can't even make your own team!! this game might be a dissapointed to some gamers, but I only got this game because I'm a sports fan.

A fun arcade game that reminds me of NFL Street and Arena football. A basic game that gets old quick, due to the lack of playbooks and narration. I like playing it every now and then when friends are over. Very repetative, but still worth trying for the fun value.

This game isn't bad if you're looking for a game to occupy the time in between playing other games such as Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3. In that role this game excels because it's a game you can spend as much time as you want playing. I mean this literally. Sometimes I find myself needing a break from an intense FPS game session and I'll pop this NFL Tour in and play a few games that might last somewhere between 10-30 minutes. The games are very short so you can play as many as you want and not have to worry about the time getting away from you like it does when you play a game like Madden. My only gripe with this game is that it really lacks hard, bone-crunching hits, and the animations get stale, as does the commentary, after only a short while. I guess it's a good thing that the fun factor is there. Happy Gaming!!
