This is a much better game than the tradedgy that was realeased 6 years ago on Genesis. It looks good and plays great, making it an ultimate buy. There are many features that put this ahead of EA's offering, so this is the game to own.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Hockey Game For N64, March 1, 2000

This game is by far the best hockey game for N64. Its control is outstanding, the graphics are deffinetly the best for hockey games on n64. At first a friend talked me into playing it and I LOVED it. I couldn't stop playing! The other 64 hockey games look like they are for the Atari system. My advice is to buy this game. It is so easy to learn. You only use 2 buttons to play. Buy it used if you can find it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but a few problems, July 7, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: NHL Blades of Steel '99 (Game Cartridge)
Well, this is a wonderful game to get. You can change the numbers of the players (which is what they mean by making their own players). You can trade, get free agents, and battle for the stanley cup. There aren't many cheats for this game, none really at all. Maybe a couple tricks, but I would say, try to find a game that you can make players, not change numbers.

I have bought this game as my first Nintendo 64 game. It has awasome graphics, great sound, and even better is the ability to create the team of your dreams. You can trade players and pick free agents. It's definately a COOL game!
