This is one of the best games I've ever played.I got this game to play just until I got NHL 2001.I'm not so sure I want to get it anymore.Right when I started to play I knew this game was awesome!!Great graphics and the levels of difficulty are really good.What's really good is being able to choose your own jersey.Some people who have NHL 2001 might think it's pretty stupid,but if you ask me it's a really good game.

WoW, excitment. These are the types of words that you say when playing this game. I didn't think that hockey could be so realistic. Slap Shots, cross checks, speed increse and more options for you to adjust. The players can shoot VERY quick, like in real life. (up to 110 mph). This game comes with everything. You want the Panthers to wear blur or red at home and their opponents white? Do what you want, you can adjust it with the click of a button.

MODES

Quick start

In this option, the computer automaticly chooses the teams but NOT their jerseys. You always have control of this option. Not suggested if you want to be a specific team at either home or on the road.

Select Game

This is where YOU take control of who vs. who and who's home and away. Besides that, it's just like Quick Start.

Season

Here, you can start your own season or playoffs w/a team of your choice.

Rosters

Here, you can create a player, sign or release a player, or trade a player.

Options

Adjust settings such as Fights: ON or OFF.

Memory Card

Here you can save an option, season or Edited team.

Ratings: (in Letter grades, Percentages)

this is absoluty the best hockey game i ever played!the only thing i dont like about this, is when a player gets a hat trick there would not be hats on the ice.and it wouldnt be too much to ask for some music after the home team scores.but other than that the game is great.

So far i have bought an NHL game for each year since nhlpa93/94.thats 7 games!nhl face off 99 is by far the best hockey game I have ever played!graphics are great, teams are updated,almost all alternate jersy's, great play by play comentary,alsome controles,realistic camera angles,realistic scores, updated arenas, even realistic faces made to look like the actuall player!it was an amazin game.it is still by far my most played nhl game.everything is near perfect!5+ stars!

It is the best hocky game I've ever played! One of my favorite features is the create a player because you can give him your own stats. The stats all start at 40 and you have around 400 points to use. You can trade him to different teams. But sometimes the rosters are full so you have to trade him to a different team then trade him to yours. The only bad thing is that the teams will only accept a player that is equal or better to that player.The graphics are good and you can choose different camera angles. You can also turn on and off penalties. Over all it is a very good game.

I think this game is a great game because it has alot of things that NHL faceoff 98 had. This has good graphics and has all updated arenas. I just wish that the game was newer to include the Atlanta Thrashers. I think that the game could use some more graphics and it would be a great game hopefully they will achieve this in NHL faceoff 2000.
