Sega Genesis Review : As a veteran video game collector and player i have to admit that this game has.. what any hockey player would want on a console ps2 or ps3 game , but with the quicker task of just plugging in the Sega Genesis Cartridge. It has 3 different levels of play , rookie , veteran , and Allstar . It has 3 diffrerent gamespeeds slow ( which i consider normal yet fast ) , normal , and high which makes a crazy fast game . And it has coaching styles of gameplay to set each line to play aggresively or passive in offensive and defensive formations depending on which mode your line is in ... say .. pp , ppk of first line , second line . This to me , is the most rewarding point of playing hockey in this fashion as you are able to read to style of the opposing team and then adjust your line on the fly to respond better . I recommend this game as i play a full season every year and each time never getting same result especially when you can trade players through the season if you want to . Cool Huh ?

i think this game is 10 times better than any playstation hockey game! you can fight, check, and do all that other stuff. a very awsome and simple game. i still play it. it's just an awsome game, that you can find anywhere for a cheap price. it's better than the playstation hockey games...

While the game underneath here is completely awesome, it is a little bit dated. It is not near as good as the new playstaion stuff, but it is still simple fun. The graphics push the Genesis to a pulp, and NHL has never looked better. Good, but a little bit dated.
