This review is from: NIGHTMARE IN LAOS - THE TRUE STORY OF A WOMAN IMPRISONED IN A COMMUNIST GULAG (Paperback)
There aren't many other places to read a story like this.
I'm glad she wrote this book. So much of what is accessible to readers about Laos are based on the thriving tourism industry. It's good to get a reality check about how much room for progress there is in Laos. I supposed this would be the Lao equivalent of "The Damage Done" by Warren Fellows, but less extreme. And of course, the bigger difference is that this author is innocent. |
