Ive had mine a few months, and really like it. I havent read the instruction manual, but havent had a problem operating it. This is my first digital camera. It is a lot of fun to use. You can take about 350 photos on a 1 GB memory card, so you are free to take several photos of a subject, in order to get one good one, then just erase the ones you dont like. Mine came with a wire that you can plug into AV jacks on a TV and show the photos or movies. It shoots video as well as photos. As soon as I got it, I had a memory card slot put on the front of my computer, so I just plug in the card and view all my photos on my computer, and can email them. I learned that you have to use the PC (rather than 8mb) setting when you take the photos, in order for the file size to be small enough to email. I really like the black matte finish, it is easy to hold onto, and looks distinct. This seems to be a good price, I paid $189 for mine at a camera store, for a kit which came with AV wire, battery charger, rechargeable batteries, soft-case. I had to buy a memory card separately, 1GB for $30. This amazon discription doesnt specify exactly what you get with your purchase, except for the photo.

I bought this for my 16-year old son, and he absolutely loves it. It's great that the kit came with everything he needed to get started, and to take care of his camera. My biggest tip is to change the setting right away for the picture quality. My son started taking pictures right away, and when he downloaded them, the image file sizes were 2MB+ each! I told him that he didn't need picture quality like that just to pose pics on myspace or facebook. Save space on your hard drive by selecting the appropriate picture quality for each intended purpose.

This Camer is very user friendly right out of the box and takes great pictures as well.

I have had this camera about two months. It takes decent pics, I purchased it to have a point and shoot that I could carry with me easily. It fits the bill for that purpose nicely. A couple of thoughts about the design: 1. it is hard to get the memory card out without taking the batteries out. 2. recycle time when taking flash pictures is rather slow. 3. The flash has a tendency to wash out subjects.

Other cameras we have to compare to this one are Nikon 2100 & 2500 Canon 530. The camera came with a case, 2 rechargeable AA batteries, and a recharger and free shipping. It is very easy to keep in your pocket, the VR feature works nicely and the face detection also does a nice job. The LCD is very bright and decent sized. I would recommend the camera with the limitations noted above.
