Nikon introduces an optically upgraded model of its popular Eagleview Zoom binocular, sure to be popular with hikers, travelers, and naturalists. The Nikon 8-24x25 Eagleview Zoom II features a new, cosmetically enhanced, central-focus design. It is built on a dual-hinge polycarbonate body with a tough elastomer coating for a comfortable grip. Turn-slide rubber eyecups allow the user to quickly achieve the eye relief necessary for optimum viewing, with or without eyeglasses. The new binocular possesses a useful, 8-24mm power zoom range, allowing a large field of view and precise detail resolution at high power.

The 8-24x25 Eagleview Zoom II utilizes precisely ground and polished lenses that incorporate multiple layers of Nikon’s antireflective coatings. This allows high light transmission, true color rendition, and crisp, clear imaging. Measuring just 4.7 by 4.3 inches and weighing only 12.5 ounces, the Eagleview Zoom II is sized to fit in a coat pocket, purse, or glove box. The binocular provides a 240-foot field of view at 1,000 yards when set on 8x, and possesses a 4.6 degree field of view at 8x, as well.

We bought these binoculars to use for our honeymoon cruise, and we were very pleased. In particular, we love the eyepieces that raise and lower for use with or without glasses (helpful for both eyeglasses and sunglasses users). Secondly, the width of the binoculars adjusts for the space between your eyes, allowing a custom view for each user. Also, the binoculars are small and lightweight, making them perfect for travel. Finally--and most importantly--the binoculars provide a clear, sharp picture that stays relatively stable even at higher magnifications. Highly recommended for the casual user.

I got this great pair of Nikon Eagleview 8-24x25 Zoom II Binoculars as a gift from my Mom & Dad for Christmas. I've had several other pairs, but never this compact and powerful. The zoom is VERY smooth and keeps good focus throughout. Nice and lightweight, they did well as 'opera glasses' on my visit to the symphony last week. And I'm getting a better close-up of my favorite birds. The 'field' is not as good as with dedicated wide-view optics, but you can't complain. Just What I Wanted
