5.0 out of 5 stars Slick software package
This product is great, can down load citations directly from pubmed, and can search pubmed within EndNote and then download the citation your looking for. Found I could use Name/year/ and first 4 words of title to get the citation for the publication I wanted.

3.0 out of 5 stars Endnote 8: an semi oldtimer
Hi friends,

I started using Endnote in the old days back in the early 90's, just after finishing my PhD thesis using CardBox to manage my bibliography :-(. 3.0 out of 5 stars Endnote 8: an semi oldtimer, December 2, 2011
This review is from: Niles Endnote 8.0 Windows (CD-ROM)
Hi friends,

I started using Endnote in the old days back in the early 90's, just after finishing my PhD thesis using CardBox to manage my bibliography :-(. Endnote was one of the first professional applications that allowed seemless transfer of data between the Mac and Windows platform. I guess I started with Endnote 2.0 for the DOS platform back in 1992 or 3 something, and got the idea from an American researcher (Nancy Nicholson) using the Mac version of Endnote, just on one single floppy disk. It was amazing to transfer a complete database from Mac to DOS and vice versa with no loss of content, functionality or running into problems whatsoever. I still cherish the Endnote T-shirt I got from Niles Associates for promoting Endnote in the University those years.
Ok let me stick to Endnote 8.
Compatible with.... Windows NT or 2000....
It is a joke: paying 299 dollars for something you will not be able to work with at all!
It may be interesting for a collector who has all the versions in the original box on a shelf for staring at it the rest of her/his life.
