About the Author

Melissa Lummis considers herself a truth seeker, a peaceful warrior, a paranormal and fantasy writer, an avid reader, a thru-hiker, a Penn Stater, a wife, a mother, and a free thinker. She believes the universe conspires to help an adventurer. And if we live our lives as if it is a daring adventure (and it is!), then everything we need will find its way to us. Her books have been described as new age suspense in a fantasy setting, but they are also straight up, steamy Paranormal Romance. The Love and Light Series is currently available at most ebook retailers, as well as the Little Flame Series, a spin off focusing on the character Fiamette from the Love and Light world. She lives in rural Virginia with her husband, two children, an Alaskan Malamute, and a myriad of forest creatures. The nature of her mind dictates that she write to stay sane. Otherwise, her fertile imagination takes off on tangents of its own accord, creating scenarios and worlds that confuse the space-time continuum. Namaste, dear friends.

I would have given this book 5 stars, but didn't realize I would be left hanging at the end--very well written and great plot though;-)

I really loved this series it had everything a paranormal reader possibly love. Things are not always what they seem to the normal healer. Just when you think you are escaping something and pulls you into another adventure. I highly recommend reading this book along with the authors others you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to read the other 2 books. I received a copy in exchange for a honest and unbiased opinion.

My Review~~~
I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
I love this cover. It is so beautiful. This book is a great novella. It has everything a paranormal book needs. I love the main character. She is a great heroine and strong female lead. I love her quick wit. I can't say how much I love Fia!! This is a very fast paced read that has a big cliffhanger at the end, so you want to delve into the second book asap! Wonderful Read! Love love it!

Amazon Book Description~~
They say home is where the heart is, but if that’s true, then I’m lost because I have no clue where my heart is, anymore. I thought I knew—until I met Maximillian.

I was on my way out of the Capital City before the local vampires could catch on to me and let’s just say if that happened, then this club dancer would be facing her expiration date. And that’s when the famous DJ blew into town—and into my head and heart. He turned all my plans upside down with his sick friend and his electric blue eyes, damn it.

I should have cut bait and run for my life, but I couldn't abandon someone I could heal—even if it meant the vampires might catch up with me. Besides, Maximillian smelled familiar, like deep forest and pine needles baked in the sun mixed with that chilly snap of running water and the coolness of twilight. Those things have a smell that adds up to a dream.

You can get lost in that kind of dream. It can fill your mind with ideas and notions you have no business thinking or feeling. Dreams like that make it easy to forget the danger you’re in.

I enjoyed the premise of this story and its characters. The one drawback, though, was that none of the story was resolved by the end. If you are opposed to buying all of the books in the series to find out the answers to questions raised, then pass on this one.

When I started reading this book I didn't know anything about it. I hadn't read the blurb or anything. I picked it up mostly because I'd listened to the author on her podcast and she seemed like a smart and sassy lady. I wasn't disappointed.

Nine30 starts out with a vibrant dance party. From the description you can feel the music, lights, and humanity. Then the first vampire shows up. It quickly became apparent that this is a world where supernatural creatures exist, and are known about by the general population. And also that the main character, Fia, is one of them even if she doesn't know what she is.

It is the mystery of the book that really kept me reading, along with the well written descriptions, sexy tension between Fia and Max, and constantly wondering what else is going to go wrong. And a lot goes wrong.

Eagerly looking forward to the next one.

So Fia is a dancer who is hiding from something. She is also hiding something. Something that she needs to use vampires for. When they are together she gets this energy that she desperately needs to survive. But now she needs more. Saving someone's life drained her and now she is hoping she can make it to her next stop.
So this is a very short story. It's kind of confusing about what's going on. Fia is not sure what she is or who to trust. She trust max but she doesn't know why. Now there are vampires that she needs to deal with. I am looking forward to figuring things out in the next books.

I love the characters, humor and, of course, all things supernatural in this book. Lummis has a gift for pulling a reader into a story and not letting her go until the last word is read. I became so involved I was cheering Fia on -- out loud -- during an encounter with a werewolf who attacked her friend. I do believe the words, "Yeah, so suck on THAT!" crossed my lips. Man, I love these books.

If you want some love and light with healthy doses of paranormal beings, chuckles, passion and ass-kicking action, grab Nine3o (for free, by the way). But be warned, you'll get hooked, so you might as well grab the others while you're at it.

She's sharp, sassy, sexy and saucy! I absolutely love this new series by Melissa Lummis. Fiamette was one of my favorite characters from the Love and Light Series, but The Little Flame lets us get inside her head and follow her on an all new adventure. This is a fast-paced story that is hot, hot, hot! And the best thing is, when I finished the first book there were already several more stories available in the series, so I don't have to wait for more!

So get on board the tour bus! It's gonna be a fabulous ride!
