This is the same tool included with the replacement Nintendo DS Lite shell I just finished installing. The new shell was great, but this tool is JUNK. If you can successfully remove and reinstall the screws on one unit, one time, without stripping the heads and/or the tip of the tool, count yourself lucky.

This is the same model tri-wing that I had the misfortune to buy. Completely stripped two screws immediately. Absolute junk. Avoid

It doesn't fit the screws exactly, but it's close. If you apply pressure and are very careful, you can get the screws in and out without slippage.

this tool is horrific. all it succeeded in doing was stripping the screws down to nothing~ stay away.

got this to replace the housing on my ds lite, it didnt even work, it didnt fit properly and just ended up stripping the screws...

When my Nintendo Wii began to experience disc read errors, I quickly came to notice how many of the Wii's screws were inaccessible by any of my screwdrivers. As a result, I decided to watch a video on how I can disassemble my Wii--and discovered how I needed a NINTENDO WII & DS LITE TRI-WING TRIWING SCREWDRIVER TOOL to open up my Wii. Thanks to this screwdriver, I'll be able to replace my Wii's old disc drive with a new one (once the new drive arrives in the mail).

If you are attempting to purchase a Tri Wing screwdriver for the DS, this is not the one that you need. As far as I could tell, the tip on this tool is too pointed. When I tried to use this tool, it stripped out the screw and rounded the tip off of the tool because it needs to be flat. I was super excited about the tool and it was such a horrible letdown. I'm not sure if I even want to purchase a different brand for fear of the same occurence.

I needed this so that my huysband could take apart our Wii. So for a penny + shipping, how could I go wrong? It arrived very quickly...VERY quickly. It did work fine for taking apart the Wii...but the handle was placed on the shaft crooked. It was off just enough to make it hard to unscrew the funny screws. They all wanted to come out at an angle, and not in a good way.

Also, for a few cents more, you can get one that is magnetic, that would be a HUGE plus! Those little screws drop easily into the case when you are least paying attention.

The screwdriver fits the triwing screws but to fix your Wii you may need to order other small drivers. The Wii also has flat and Phillips (cross head)screws. There are you-tube videos showing how to open the Wii.

If you need to make repairs on your Nintendo Wii, you are going to need one of these. It saved me a $75.00 repair fee.
