I picked up this pack, and its a fun novelty but nothing more. It does add some realism to playing Zelda:TP especially when you stand up and do the motions. The quality is decent, especially good detail on the shield. The swords have hard plastic handles and foam blades, so this is safe for children. The Wiimote and nunchuck fit nicely in the holes and it doesn't add much weight.

The sword/shield set is fun for a minute, but novelty wears off quickly. The only problem is that you can't play through all the parts in Zelda with the plastic sword. The handle blocks the Wiimote sensor, so its impossible to use things like the grappling hook or bow and arrow with this peripheral. This is a major issue, but only effects a few parts later in the game. Although it should be noted because it is not obvious from the pictures.

All in all, if you are a die-hard Zelda fan (or you have a kid that is), this is a fun little novelty, but don't expect too much. I found the sword worked pretty good with Prince of Persia, however thats not the best game to begin with so I wouldn't buy it just for that. Its a great conversation piece, all your friends will want to try. So if you like Zelda and collect useless junk, you will probably enjoy yourself.

If you play with a Wii, then gear makes it more fun. Unfortunately the gear has to operate as designed in order for it to be the most fun. For some reason the fit on the swords with the WiiMote Plus is such that buttons get pushed unnecessarily while the WiiMote is encased in the sword. Not good when you're fighting monsters, etc. So in the end these products are a cool idea but they spend more time sitting around than actually getting used.

Do not buy this for Skyward Sword. The controller will not fit inside the swords with the Wii motion plus. Really low quality materials. Swords are foam and barely stay inside the "hilt". Shield does not stay together. My son held the shield up for a Christmas morning picture, and it fell apart. I would not recommend this to anyone. Why the others gave this four stars I will never understand. Utter junk.
