This is a great portable bible if you want a high-quality, easy to carry edition. The NIV is not my favorite translation (I prefer RSV Catholic Edition including the Deuterocanonicals) or the NASB for a protestant translation (both are literal word-for-word translations). However, this is a nice bible and the NIV is a good balance of easy to read vs. accuracy.

The only one warning I have is that the text on these editions are VERY small in order to accomodate the size of the bible itself. This is fine for quick readings on the go, at work, at a bible study, etc. However, if you are planning to sit and read for hours, I suggest looking at a larger edition. This one is specifically geared to be easily portable with very little size or weight.

5 Stars, high quality, absolutely great value for this money. Hard to believe when you see it! Also not mentioned on this specific model is that the flap you see in the picture has a nice, easy to use magnetic closure. Super nice.

My duaghters bible was lost when her purse was stollen. It was her favorite but was no longer in print. I searched high and low for any copy to replace it and finally found a new one. She is happy as could be with it and I am greatful for that. I will always look here first for any books I need

I wanted an NIV Bible with tissue-paper-like pages and with a cute relatively plain cover (no lables or writing at all on the outside). This one is perfect, with the green leather, and a white (with yellow center) flower on its front. It is also compact which was an added bonus for me. I can still highlight and write in it too.
