This is a great Bible to have. It's small enough to be very portable to anywhere. The leather cover is very soft yet sturdy. The only drawbacks: small print may be hard to read for some, thin pages require appropriate handing. But then as a compact Bible, it's to be expected. Otherwise, I really like this printing.

I have been experimenting with various means to use the internet as my "always-with-me" Bible using sites like Biblegateway.com on my Laptop and eBible.com on my iPhone. But difficulty in ensuring always-on internet connectivity, and needing the ability for quick look-up even under slow network conditions has shown me that having a real physical paper bible on-hand is invaluable. This slimline version of the NIV has been great to tuck into my work bag or my travel bag to keep the Word of God with me without any noticeable penalty in weight or bulk. I highly recommend it.

One added plus I did not expect - the Bible includes a concordance at the end which is useful for quick lookups and basic study.

The obvious downside is teeny, tiny text. If you are already thinking about getting a large print version of the Bible, don't bother picking this one up. You're better off with the thinline Study Bible which has slightly larger type (but is significantly thicker).

I purchased this Bible for a person in jail. I purchased it from Amazon because people in jail cannot receive something mailed directly from a home address so I could not go to the store and purchase one and send it to them. To be received in jail it must come from a place like Amazon or a publisher. It must be soft back and not hardback and this one fit that criteria. Once received it was just what they wanted. It has sdudy helps for personal Bible study as well as compact enough for a small cell environment. I would encourage others to find an inmate and mail them a Bible.

This is the third time I have ordered this Bible as a gift for someone. It is compact, looks great. I have given two of them to older male teens who really like them. The only warning is that the print size is small, so if that is a challenge for you, then beware. Other than that, it is a great portable Bible. I always have one in my car.

This is an exceptional travel bible with a soft durable leather cover. It's wonderful to be able to take God's complete Word with us when we travel. Even though the size is smaller, the text is still easily read.

This bible is amazing. I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a Bible that is easy to understand, compact, and just overall beautiful inside and out.

Great form factor that could fit into a cargo pocket. The flexible cover and thin pages mean that it can take on all kinds of strange shapes that books don't like to be in. I took mine to Kenya on a mission trip, and it stood up to being in a mesh, exposed pocket on my backpack. That's 38 hours in airplanes, three weeks in remote places which featured rain and dust, and countless times being opened and read. It's definitely durable and rugged. As a previous review mentioned, the fonts are small. If you are visually challenged, this might not be your best option.

Excellent Study Bible. We had used the same Bible with older footnotes and explanations until it disintegrated after about ten years of use! We are happy with the update.

I bought this for my husband, who was wanting a small Bible to take with him to church on Sundays. He likes this Bible so much he has started using it for his daily reading time. The print is small, but still readable, and the cover seems high quality. I'm glad I chose this one.

Overall, very satisfied with this Bible and would highly recommend to anyone. Took a while to get here but I expected that. Brand new Bible and a really great size--fits great in my school bag or on my bedside dresser. Margins are the perfect size for note-taking and the concordance is very user-friendly. The print is pretty small, so if your eyesight's going, you might want to go for a bigger print size. Really a wonderful Bible.
