This is no wimpy 'award' bible! I really like the textbook styling--the print is sans-serif and easy to read, the maps are great, and the concordance is much larger and has more word entries than you would normally get for a non-study type bible. The pages are tough enough to withstand note taking, underlining, and even highlighting with very little bleedthrough--a big plus.

The NIV Bible is in my humble opinion the best translation of the Bible because it's the most accessible. People who are new to the Bible find the King James Version daunting because of its outdated style. But anyway, the Bible is the Bible, and it will change your life and save your soul whatever the version, as long as it's faithfully and accurately translated from the original ancient documents.

There are many, MANY books, but the Holy Bible is the only book that really matters... matters most. It is the very Word of God, and its pages hold the key to salvation. It is eternal life. It is a manual "how-to" about developing a relationship with your Creator who created you in His image and loves you. It's also an invaluable history record of ancient times and God's direct role and intervention in human affairs.

For those of you who have read (or are currently trying to read) the King James Version of the Bible, this book puts each verse in common language which you are able to comprehend, read, and enjoy. Having never read the Bible before from beginning to end, I embarked upon the journey with NIV Holy Bible. I've learned so much and been able to understand what the scriptures are saying. In fact, I enjoyed reading this book so much that I purchased a copy for each of my children (a total of 3 more books). If you've ever felt that reading the Bible was frustrating because you couldn't understand what the scriptures are saying, this book eliminates that problem and enhances your spiritual journey. Enjoy!

The NIV Bible by Zondervan is wonderful...the Timeline in the beginning of the Bible puts the Old Testament stories into proper order and perspective.

Also, the MAPS in the back are very clear and helpful as one studies the history of Israel in the O.T.

Was excited to find the same bible that I already had. My old bible was worn and marked up. This bible was just the perfect size to carry around and I liked using the information it had inside.

I had given away my last NIV Study bible to someone who did not have a bible. Our pastor preaches from the NIV, so I was looking for one that was similar to my last NIV but not overly expensive. This one fit the bill. It had your basic references, concordance, glossary so it got me by.....only until I wound up giving this one away to a different gal from church. She needed one that had at least a small concordance section for the studying she was doing. This was just perfect for what she needed it for. God knew what she needed & He used me to provide it.

I bought this for a friend that was transfered to the middel east. He is serving there in the US Coast Guard. I can comment that he is very satisfied with the Bible. I can comment that the delivery was promt and flawless. I would buy from this retailer again if the oportunity presents itself.
